Just heard on the news that our Tourist Development Council is talking to promoters for our Indian summer festival (which is in October). They are talking to one that is pitching a place for a Jimmy Buffett concert. They are giving the promoters 2 weeks to come back with more info on their proposals such as pricing and venue ideas. Frank Brown Park is where the Festival is held. This may all be just alot of talk but I'll keep ya posted.

Seems like they would have to construct a place to accommodate 20,000+ around PCB. Frank Brown Park is not big enough.

Yeah, Frank Brown Park is only alittle over 200 acres.
The Beach?

The only thing big enough to handle that many fans in the western Florida panhandle would be the beach. Why not?

Maybe they will do a small 4,000-5,000 show like in Glendale. Frank Brown could handle that. Pier Park also has a small amphitheater.

They already have fairly good shows at Frank Brown in October....small venue might be nice. Pier Park is (or going to be) pretty crowded for anything but eating, drinking, and shopping

As someone who works for the business community in Bay County and someone who loves Buffett I would love this, however I don't know how well the current setup of the Seafood Festival and location would allow for this. The Marina hosted the Beach Boys a few years back, but I don't think that crowd was nearly the same size that Jimmy would get.
