YES!!!

While like most people - i have moments I dont enjoy - at the moment - it is just WONDERFUL!

I have been a govt employee for 28 years this month and I would not swap!

I have totally surpassed the goals I set of where in the ladder I would get to .... (I am at the top of the staff ladder - set myself for halfway) and I get paid a ridiculous amount of money to do what I do :) ......

I was really unhappy where I was in this dept a year a go - so I just moved to make me happy ....

Life is too short ... and there are too many other jobs out there to be unhappy! I was unhappy - and did something about it ......

Right now, I LOVE my job.....I work retail of Harley-Davidson.....

My former job, as a police officer, I loved for a long time.....after a few years in administration, it really changed for me. I have NO regrets retiring.

After I retired, I worked bail bonds for two years.....I didn't love that job....and sorry folks, my license just expired.....no more get out of jail free cards!

Overall, I've been very satisfied with my work/career path, though.

I love my job. Hell, that's where my friends are, including my brother which is suprising because growing up we fought a lot but now we just goof off most of the day. Being that my boss is an old drinking buddy don't hurt either. This September will be 13 years.

After almost 1 1/2 years of bouncing from job to job, I finally found a job I love, where I get to help people who often are desperate for answers and help, and I get to provide both. What more could I ask for. On top of it all, my husbands a chef, so I get to come home to good food everyday! Ideally we'll open up our own business in the next few years, but for now I'm very happy!

I do love my job. It's not exactly what i would like to be doing with my life. However, I get alot of satisfaction and enjoyment in what I do. I started at a technology company as a support technician and about 4 mos. ago applied and was hired at the same company as the exec. asst. to one of our VP's. He's a great boss, I have a lot of great friends and feel that I am truly blessed.

I really do love my job, but never thought I'd end up in this business. (Well I kinda thought I might, most actors do. ) The place I'm at now is great, the owners are very supportive, my staff is great, my customers can be a bit challenging (we're a non-traditional sort of place) but the constant changing, new challenges every day, excites me very much, keeps me on my toes.

So, there's little conflicts with what I need/want to do during my off time. It works with the rest of my life. I don't hate it.

I'm 51, so there's probably not much time to enter a different profession. I think I would have had more personal satisfaction as an engineer rather than an accountant. After I'm gone, the things I helped to build would still be standing. As an accountant, all my work will be in some boxes on a shelf in a warehouse.

WOW...I could have written this - age and all! Except replace "engineer" with writer/photographer. Ready to reduce the hours and have some free time to do the things I've always wanted to do such as learn to play the piano. However, accounting does provide a good paycheck.

I love my job and the company I do it for. I've been lucky, in the 28 years I have been working I have never had a job I disliked.

I love the company I work for. I love the people I work with. MOST of the job is challenging and enjoyable, and keeps me VERY busy. :)

But as I get older the physical part of the job is taking it's toll on some of my body parts. :(

That and there are some VERY stupid people that I have to deal with.

"Am I happy at my job? Hmmmmm....well, it's not a bad job, but not exactly what I envisioned myself doing years ago. But, it pays the bills and allows me money for wasting on my passions.
Now, I have a part time job at a dive shop, rebuilding gear, talking diving and selling gear to others. I LOVE IT. I can wear a pair of flip flops, shorts and a dive t-shirt and work there just because I love doing it, and hope in 12 years to semi-retire and do that fulltime. Someday I will.
It's one of my passions, and I love going to the shop, even on days I'm not working.
where it says "Dive", substitute "Pipe". Where it says "Diving", substitute "pipes, cigars, and tobacco". Where it says "dive tshirt", substitute "Hawaiian shirt".
Some days I wear a Hawaiian shirt, but basically what I was saying is I can be myself there and not have to dress up like my "other job"....it makes all the difference in the world :D
some days I change Hawaiian shirts between the day job, and the pipe shop. :) unless it is too cold, then I just wear a phlocking tshirt under the sweater. :D

I was just telling the OP that my answer was similar to yours, just to make the changes where necessary :)
My brother from a different mother
