Margaritaville Orlando Question

Post by JackPDiddley »

I have about four hours to spend in Orlando before a flight home next Monday. I plan to spend it at Margaritaville for a long lunch. But for those who have been there -- or are regulars -- is there wi-fi access available?

Not that I know of, but the CityWalk area is a neat area to walk around and kill some time.

Just be warned you have to pay the amusement park parking fee and walk over a pedestrian bridge to get to it. No private parking.

I think he meant that you have to pay to just park (and it the Univeral parking lots) Molly. But if I remember correctly....and my memory is short these days.....I think you can have your parking is free in the evening...or you can have it validated or something.....

just checked the website....

Its $11 to park during the day....free after 6:00pm.....
There's this one particular harbor.....

I believe the parking rate is $11 for the basic parking and then there is a Premium Parking that gets you closer to the walkway. Not sure on that cost, like $15 or $20. The parking fee is not charged after 6:00 pm.

Checkout the website:

http://www.margaritavilleorlando.com/in ... ge=parking

Make sure and check out Jimmy's Hemisphere Dancer at the Lone Palm Airport just off the patio at Margaritaville.

If you are there on Tuesday, then hit Pat O'Briens for Two for One Hurricanes. They open at 4 pm. Be warned the Hurricanes taste great and go down pretty easy but can really kick your ass, depending on your alcohol tolerance.

Here are a couple of coupons that I found for Margaritaville Orlando for a Free souvenir:

http://www.orlandosaving.com/margaritavillecoupon.htm

http://www.orlandocouponsfree.com/resta ... ville.html

You will also have a couple of toll booths to hit from the airport freeway to I-4.

I'd leave the computer in the trunk and just take in the sights and sounds. Otherwsie if you really want to know if they have Wi-Fi, shoot them a call during business hours and I'm sure they can fill you in. As they have on their website:

Lone Ranger, yeah I get it!!!!

Just doing my part to help.

Florida one of our favorite places to do a vaca, if even for just a few hours.

As for me, usually just a lurker. But I speak up when I feel I have info to share.

Don't worry, Tiki Bar can vouch for me!!!!

See ya'll at Alpine!!!

Still waiting to see if Mac will have a show at Shank Hall again on Friday. Otherwise, we'll probably do Darrell and Lisa's "Meeting of the Mindless" at Alpine Resort. :D :D :D

One more thing to share:

When you are at Orlando Margaritaville ask if Marrinell is working. I believe she usually works the patio bar.

Marrinell posts regularly on Margaritaville.com discussion board.

We were down in February in the eveniing and asked if Marrinell was there and the waitress looked at us and said, "Are you guys Parrottheads?". Marrinell wasn't working that night though.

Marrinell helps out plenty with different groups such as Darrell and Lisa's get together at Alpine by getting special items donated by Margaritaville. She is full of Jimmy info.

I'll go back to my lurking now

Where are you at in Pittsburgh? We're in Greensburg at least part of the time. We have a place in NYC so are there as much as possible.

Thanks for the information. As always, BN is a great place for information!

Spent part of the day Monday at Margaritaville for lunch, then stepped across for a Lone Palm ale next to the airplane. Looks like it has finally quit dripping fluids as the "engine diaper" I saw last time is gone.

Good service and food and the valet parking is the way to go when you want to get in and out. Worth the cost, plus If I would have left before 2, the parking was validated.

I took Michelle's advice and left the computer in the car and enjoyed the views!

Take care everyone!
