I'm betting you'll be singing a different tune the next time questionable calls cost the Pens a victory.
Well I certainly won't be whining.
Calls go both ways and average out in the end. It's always harder for the losing team to see and/or accept this.
I know this to be true and won't sweat it if it happens to the Pens...which if you watched last night's game...there was a borderline high stick goal against us that was upheld giving the Rangers a 2-0 (or was it 3-0) lead. The Pens just turned around and score two goals in 14 seconds and then another two in the third 20 seconds apart. Great game!

Please!!! Time and place. A bad call in the first period is different than a bad call with two minutes left. And no they don't always even themselves out. There's a difference between blowing a call on a goal and a tripping call.
I have Center Ice and watch lots of hockey and have for years and years!!! Certain teams get better officating. Certain players get calls. We call Jordan or NBA rules. One thing every team gets is inconsistent calls.
Saku Koivu throws several punches at Scottie Upshall (while the linesmans there for protection & to hold Upshall) Does he get a roughing penalty? No but Upshall does with Tom Kostopoulos who I assume threw the sucker punch from behind that started the whole get together. Can't take the star off the ice (unless it's Mike Richards!) with under three minutes left and his team behind!!! The fact that the Ref called that sequence even was a joke!!! The Flyers were celebrating going up by 2 goals. The way the refs called it gave Montreal and advantage by taking 2 players off the ice. More room when they pulled the goalie. It should have been a Flyers power play!
The Story was, Martin Biron!!!!
Officating a side I go to bed a happy man knowing that my Flyers won tonight and should be winning 2-0. Montreal knows it too!!!

Why? Do you play differently?
If the bad call leads to a goal in the first, how is it different?

You just have less time to make up for it.
You answered it for me!!! Kind if hard to make up for a call with 2 minutes left when they score with .30 seconds left!
And yes you do play differently. That call gives the team that behind a two man advantage with pulling the goalie!

You won! Now make it count at home!
It's whining when you lose, it's critiquing when you win....

Down 2-0 to a superior franchise. They should have remained the deques
And that would have meant what?
Superior? Eh. They play with a lot of cheap shots (Foote hit tonight, for one), and the refs seem to favor them...... But Osgood is one good goalie. The Av's beat themselves today.

5-1 is an ass whooping that refs could not help. Face it, Detroit has always been and always will be better.
I wonder if Forsberg has had second thoughts about not going to Philly?
He's one of my favorite players but to be honest I don't know who I would sit right now??? If it ain't broke don't fix it.....
Oh yeah and enough of your self pitty!!! The RW have a great team but the Avs have had their moments!!! BIG TIME!!! (Thanks to Eric Lindros & the Flyers)
