After two periods the Pens look like they're standing still compared to Detroit. Taking too many penalties, got outshot 16-4 in the 2nd. period, not nearly matching the Wings intensity. Pens are having trouble even making a pass, looks like there are 10 guys out there for Detroit clogging up things defensively. Pens will have to do a lot better than this if they want to hoist that Cup. :evil:

one-hell-of-a game...all I have to say is I feel bad for both teams, they have to be exhausted! Pens will come back in the next one.

We would like to see a winner here again. Especially for me having the hopes of Lord Stanely being in my neighborhood...But I am really thrilled about them being in the playoffs

If the Pens just wanted to watch Detroit play last night they should have bought tickets and sat in the stands instead of standing around on the ice :evil: They better have something better than that on Monday night or they are going to be in trouble.

That's the beauty of opening on the road. game one is not that important. IF you can win either the next game or the two games at home.

Either way I was glad I did not have to watch. The NHL sucks scheduling games on prime party nights. No hockey should be played after MM Day weekend. Or on it for that matter... Think I've said that before

Two more shut outs and not only does Detroit sweep but Osgood has a record all to himself.

Is that the Pittsburgh Penguins on the same ice as the Detroit Red Wings?

Who wants to put money down that since Bettman's pride and joy is whining, the refs will call at least 2 diving penalties on the Wings tonight?

* Please note, I do not believe Ozzy or Franzen (or any other Wings) were guilty of diving.
