Too cool. The colors are beautiful.

Girls with tattoos are easy.
Annnnyyyywhooooooo.....
After two weeks of the South Beach Diet (Phase 1) I'm down 8lbs. Now the tricky part starts. The arduous task of adding back in the right carbs (brown rice, berries, etc) and keeping on with the exercise.
I start week 3 of the Couch 2 5k program tomorrow, which will include two sets of walking 90 seconds/running 90 seconds/walking 3 minutes/running 3 minutes.
Once I get to week 4.5, I'm going to register for
http://www.stadiumstampede.org/.

I am trying to finish out the month holding onto my five pound weight loss I posted two weeks ago. As usual, I lost big (5 lbs) then added 3 back on, then lost two, then added one or two, then lost one or two... so I just want to maintain the five pound loss for a week and I can count it as really lost.
I've had the flu the past week, so haven't exercised at all, and have eaten a lot less. So that has helped somewhat! Maybe I'll lose more when I get back "on track."

I've noticed when I'm trying to lose, my weight is all over the place during a week, like +/- 5lbs at any given moment. I'd be less concerned about the number on the scale and more focus on how you feel and how you feel about how you look.
When my pants are falling off because my fat ass is getting smaller--I consider that a real win.

My job has me sitting at my desk most of the day now and my weight and BP are higher than I'd like Also gas for my car is $4.20 a gallon so . . .
I think I'm going to start riding my bike to work.
It is about 15 miles R/T.
I've done it a couple times before but not regularly.
Now the procrastinating begins, gotta get the right backpack, tune the bike, etc.
Wish me luck, I'll keep y'all posted!

Yeah the Bike to Work Day promos got me thinking. That and $60+ to fill my gas tank.
I live close to San Francisco and Berkeley so I am almost obligated to do something green.
Thanks for the support guys!

We're all in the same boat and that's why this thread was created....support and non-judgmental advice! I used to live in Foster City and work in the city....where do you live?

Well I do appreciate it and could use the motivation.
Funny, I lived in Foster City and now live in Redwood Shores. Closer to work. If I was still in Foster City I wouldn't be considering biking to work.
Where do you live now?
