Just attended the Grand Opening private party for JB's at the Beachcomber last night. What a great party! If you've never done one of these VIP private party things, you should defiantly try it. Free drinks and food all night long...... Henry K and Jake S both played. Pretty awesome show! The restaurant officially opens to the public today, you folks coming out here for the show will love it.
Our local chapter is still looking at doing a pre concert tailgate party, near the Shell the afternoon of the show, then post concert gathering at the restaurant. We'll be offering a great oceanfront location, with cheap Mai Tai's and draft beer, and some great live Trop Rock.

What's your opinion about that?
Do you think we could meet there, or would it be better somewhere else?

Problem with Kap Park/Shell lot is that there is no alcohol allowed.... Not that is doesn't happen, just that you have to spend the day sneeking around with it in paper bags.
We're having a final meeting with the Elks Lodge tomorrow morning and will hopefully secure the upstairs level for a pre concert party. It's just across the street and an easy walk from the Kap park and the Shell. It is also oceanfront with a fantastic view. We can have live music all afternoon long, and really make a day of it.... Also we can provide some pretty good deals on Mai Tai's and beer compared to the local restaurants.
The entertainer we are bringing in puts on an amazing show and is all "Trop Rock", something you can't find anywhere else in Waikiki. He does over 80 Buffett songs, Eric Stone, Jim Morris, Scott Kirby, Bob Karwin, Boat Drunks, Jerry Jeff Walker ect... plus his own stuff and a ton of classic rock and country. It'll be a real TropRock fest.
After the show JBs at the Beachcomber will be the place to be.

Will we be able to get into the Beachcomber after the concert? It seems to me everyone and their mother will want to be there after the concert.

I think I must have missed the phone call that told me I was the Landshark winner!!!
I am so jealous of all of the people going to Hawaii, I hope that you all have a wonderful time!!!!
(although I am STILL holding out for that call!!!)
