Great choice on the hotel. I stayed there a few nights earlier this week when I was working a lot. The rooms are really wonderful since the remodel.IndianaPH wrote:Good Morning All, I'm new here, so please forgive me in advance for screwing anything up since this is my first post to ANY board.
We (o.k., I) have decided that this is going to be the year to see how many shows we can attend. Already have Honolulu, Cincy, and Indianapolis (Noblesville) tickets. Waiting for MGM to go onsale.
We are staying at the Beachcomber and already have tickets to Jake's show on Friday. We are thinking about the party at the Elks. Anyone else planning on going? Do you just get tickets from their website?
We have never been to Hawaii before, so any help would be greatly appreciated. It looks like Duke's is right across the street from the Beachcomber, does anyone know if this is correct?
BTW, 426 Hours, 45 minutes until our flight leaves!!!! Can't wait!!!!

Re: Who's going to HAWAII???
Thanks for the hotel information. We threw this trip together at the last minute and it sounded like a good place to stay. When you say "We'll be having live music . . ." it sounds like you work for the restaurant. Is this the case, or are you just planning on being there for the party? Do you know of any pre-party plans at the hotel/restaurant, we are looking for somewhere to party before and after the concert.cowboyjunkie wrote:Great choice on the hotel. We'll be having live music and a pool party going all afternoon at the restaurant before the concert Saturday so you're a short elevator ride from all the fun.
The next time you get mad, ask yourself the following question. Will it will matter a year from now?
If it won't, breathe in, breathe out and move on. Life is short, remember to have fun along the way.

I looked at a map at the Maui show is a LONG way from Lahaina. That stinks!!!! How is everybody getting to and from the show? I haven't booked a room yet and might just stay at the little dump near the airport so I'm close to the show. But, partying in Lahaina is soooo fun.

Re: Who's going to HAWAII???
I hope that I don't get anyone in trouble, I am just trying to find some fun things to do while in Hawaii. If there is going to be something at the Beachcomber, it only seems logical to party there since that is where we are staying. I have a feeling that the 5 hour time difference won't allow my wife to party until the wee hours of the morning Hawaii time, so when she gets tired I can "walk" her to the room and be back before the song is over!!!! Anyone know if the party at the Beachcomber a first come first serve or are they offering tickets ahead of time? We already have tickets for Jake's party on Friday.cowboyjunkie wrote:Yeah, what he said.Dutch Harbor PH wrote:Just so Jason dosen't have to answer and get in trouble ....he works for the resturant at the ...errrr.....ehhmmmm....Beachcomber.......and yes they will have a fun time going on especially since it is their first concert while the resturant is open......IndianaPH wrote:Thanks for the hotel information. Working on an extra band that afternoon for the pool party. Anybody have suggestions?
After the show, there is a killer band playing our main stage so the party will run late.
Someone (me) has liquor inventory the next morning at the restaurant so the more you drink, the less I have to count at 5am.....
We should all help Jason and try to set a goal of consuming all of the liquor at the bar so he can sleep in the next morning.
The next time you get mad, ask yourself the following question. Will it will matter a year from now?
If it won't, breathe in, breathe out and move on. Life is short, remember to have fun along the way.

Re: Who's going to HAWAII???
Um, no . . . That WOOOHOOO was when I thought I was going to Maui . . . It’s like this . . . Mrs SPH gave me clearance (hell, encouraged me!) to go to Hawaii, so yesterday I finalized all the arrangements. Then, when I got home last night, she and Nicole (our 15 yo she-keet) waylaid me as I came in the house and asked if Nicole could come with me. I relented and said OK, but then they dropped the bomb . . . Nicole could miss a few days of school, but 5 is way too many . . . So, long story short, instead of Dad flying Tuesday to OGG, Dad + ‘keetDutch Harbor PH wrote:SeattleParrotHead wrote:SeattleParrotHead wrote:WOOOHOOO!Dutch Harbor PH wrote:Sooooo....
