Lawn seats are actually really good seats as the Shell is a relatively small venue. Yes you will want to check out the Beachcomber for sure bring LOTS of money! When funds start running low and you have lots more partying to do be sure to check out the party at the Elks club. $10 advance tickets, $2 drafts and Mai Tais. I always get lawn seats at the Shell. Just for the very reason you stated-depending how early you get there, you can actually get a spot on the lawn that's as close to the stage as many of the pavillion seats I've had at the mainland venues.

The weblink is http://www.paradisecovehawaii.com/ and their local number is 808-842-5911. We have several of our club members that sailboats and would be willing to do some sailing trips. It's a great time of year for this with all the humpbacks in the islands..... Probably the best day for the sailing would be on Friday the 27th. We are located out at KoOlina which just also happens to be where the Paradise Cove Luau is located. I also have a 33ft Sportfisher, so could take a small group out fishing or cruising that day, would just ask for help with fuel, ice ect.... Let me know if you are interested and we'll start a list, first come first serve.

Aloha,
Lee
Friday in the afternoon you've got a deal :) (Just tell me how much I need to pay....)
BTW Friday night I'm going to be at Jakes show... I got my ticket and confirmation today :D

Just got back form the SurfBoard Bar at JB's, had a meeting of the minds tonight and stayed a little too long..... To answer a few questions quickly, the sailing won't require any experience and Friday and Sunday mornings are probably the best times. The Fishing is pretty much just an option for me on Friday morning unless you are staying for several weeks....and not too early of a start I just found out we're doing the private show on Thursday night. Don't know how late that will go.

So just start list here one for sailing and one for fishing. I'll forward it to our sailboat owners, I don't know for sure right now how many spots are available. I'm guessing 10-12 if both sailboats go out.

Our club may auction off one set of tickets to the private show for charity, but we need to get approval from JB's first before we offer those.

Holy triple posts! Don't ya hate it when that happens!

Put us down for two for sailing. And Sunday (mar 1) would be great if that works out . We'd be glad to make a contribution to the cost of the trip. Just let us know how much.

Any others interested in the Luau? I guess since there's prolly no chance of getting into Jimmy's private show, Thursday would work for us as well. Sigh...

Anyone know if they will be offering any tickets to Thursday's festivities to the general public?

Put me down for the Luau as well I guess since there's absolutely NO chance for me to get into the Private venue on Thursday.

So if we do this we need to coordinate some plans (like where to meet, how to pay, etc.?)

Paradise Cove Luau sends around a bus to the hotels in Waikiki and takes participants to event.

I think you can pay ahead of time online or sign up at your hotel when you get there.

Thing is, to get into that show I imagine you'll have to line up ahead of time. I love both JB and Jake, but do I want to spend hours in Hawaii standing in line, or on the beach?

No, darn it....

But, I should be in contact with Mitch about the 3 guests I'm taking currently. Were we allowed 4 guests??? I can't find it on the website anymore. I could plead for another guest and see what he says. He's supposed to call this weekend or I'll fax him names/payment details by Monday. Otherwise, I would get on that waiting list. Those that aren't paid by next week get cancelled and you could get in that way.

I emailed about the waiting list this morning. I didn't think there was any chance of going so I never signed up... :-?
