Frozen Concoction Makers at Sharper Image

Post by PA PAR8 HED »

Sharper Image is going out of business. I was in one location yesterday and they had the Margaritaville FCMs on sale for 20% off.

I'm sure the discount will go higher if any remian on the shelves.

The whole company? I am surprised. Maybe its just your location?

They filed for bankruptcy, but I believe they are trying to reorganize, rather than just 'going under'. Which is the main reason they are closing a lot of their B&M stores, but I believe they are keeping the catalog end up and running and some of the stores...

They don't accept their own gift cards anymore though.

I called the Sharper Image by me, and the sales associate stated that they filed for Capter 11 Bankruptcy, but only certain stores are going completely out of business. Unfortunately mine is up and running.

The website has the concoction maker for $299.95. Is this the regular price or a discounted price?

I believe it is the regular price. Bed Bath and Beyond also has them from what I have seen, and we get a 20% coupon like weekly so that may be the route to go.

Unfortunately, if you read the fine print on those coupons, Margaritaville products are excluded from the 20% off offer (among other brands). Same thing at Linens & Things......

Linens & Things is filing for bankruptcy next week as well.

It wasn't when I bought mine a year ago. I think they ignore the small print a lot of the time.

I saw that Williams And Sonoma also carry the Margaritaville Concotion makers, original and premium. Not sure what the price was at the store in the mall though.

Online price says:

$299.95 for original

$379.95 for premium

Forget allof those places, a few weeks back I got my Orginal Frozen Concoction Maker from COSTCO for $199. For that price I ordered an extra glass blender part so I can have two seperate concoctions going at the same time.

Dropped by a suburban Chicago location closing this afternoon and they had the original maker for $239, down from $299. Already have one with many hours on it, so didn't need to grab one. :o

Yes, but most of the time the cashiers have never read the fine print and will honor the coupon on anything.
