Who's Going to Jones Beach 08-27-08??
Moderator: SMLCHNG
5 more days until JIMMY and the Coral Reefers at Jones Beach.
Jimmy went to St. Ignatius Catholic School in Mobile, Alabama, in a large two-story wooden house on Spring Hill Avenue at Tuthill Lane. The school was founded in 1952 when Jimmy was 5 years old. It first enrolled 104 students.
The rumors and the stories of my past I can’t deny
I’m no St. Ignatius but again I’m no bar fly
The wrong thing is the right thing until you lose control
I got this bank of bad habits in a corner of my soul

It does have a nice ring and I think Mac HAS to be presented a BLUE CUP. Per-chance we could give him a gift of a box of BLUE CUPS that he could pass on to the rest of the group including JB!!! Wouldn't that be neat to see them all carrying BLUE CUPS????? (maybe with a note that says... Thanks for playing Nautical Wheelers!)Pleasin & Teasin wrote:Thereyago!! 4 more days until JB @ JB with the Coral Reefer Band playing Nautical Wheelers!!!
It could happen!!!!!!
When Jimmy was 4 years old in 1951 he and his family were living at 3157 Ralston Road in Mobile. His sister Laurie was born Dec. 2, 1948. Lulu wasn't born until October 10, 1953 when Jimmy was 6. Jimmy used to go down to Pascagoula to visit with his grandparents most weekends and spent summers down there playing with his cousin Baxter. Baxter is the son of his aunt Patricia who was Jimmy's dad's sister.
In a few summers my folks packed me off to camp;
Yeah, me and my cousin’ Baxter
In our pup tent with a lamp.
And in a few days Baxter went home,
And he left me by myself.
And I knew that I’d stay, it was better that way,
And I could get along without any help.
Life was just a tire swing.
