It's not unusual for tickets to be released at the very end, even for concerts that have been "sold out" all along. House seats, etc become available at the last minute.

Tickets available on the day of the show? No, that's never happened before.

It's a school night the week before state mandated testing.

Gas to get there is $3.39/gallon.

Last years' show was at the Astros ball park on a Saturday night. Hopefully the lukewarm response doesn't take Houston off the concert list in the future.

Usually tickets are turned back in from sources that don't use them. Vendors, sponsors and similar sources including the venue itself.

Er, yeah. What's the big deal? Ever read Pollstar? A lot of Jimmy's shows don't sell out.

Santa, The comment was that perhaps the PEOPLE can't afford to pay that

amount to see any show because of the economy! So they are taking a

recess( break). Nothing against Jimmy! Only If the dollars aren't in the

pocket....the dollars aren't in the pocket!

As for the Police, they haven't toured since 1986! And Van Halen hasn't

toured since 2004. Jimmy tours every year, Thank You Jesus, so people

may spring for a show they don't see every year and maybe not

multiples of the same show!

I've had a lot of success the past two years finding great seats the week of Bubba's concerts in Camden. Not sure about other venues, but at Camden they often have great seats available the day of the show too at the box office.
