Freddy's Previous Show-Alpine

Posted: April 26, 2008 12:38 pm
by catsway
I was researching some of the old news articles on BN about Freddy's last performance in Alpine in December, 2007. Ticket prices were $600 for reserved and $200 for GA. I think we got a deal. I have payed more than $200 from a ticket agency for up front seats for the Stones and for Madonna.
The question I have, has there ever been Freddy and the Fishsticks T-shirts? I hope so!

This is gonna be a good show.. Just talked to my man, and, while they're excited about all the shows, they always look forward to the smaller more intimate shows too.... I can't wait...

Can anyone give me any info about this "first come, first serve block party?" I just moved from New Hampshire to NOLA about a year ago due to my job (culture shock). I was wondering how early i gotta get in line. Also if anyone wants to party before the shows hit me up.

Still in shock but need a hotel

The Mermaid and Pirate scored 2 tix for the Freddie show ..... We are so very excited ..... We have been working on flights, hotels, etc..... and of course getting tickets for Jimmy's 'other' show on Saturday.

Any one else currently looking at hotels or possibly made reservations in the last 24+ hours....any suggestions?

WOW - Jimmy playing to a small crowd in a Margaritaville cafe...what more could we ask for!

I'm sure someone "in the know" will come along with an answer for ya.

In the meantime...welcome to BN and I hope you get in for the street party and Jimmy on the big screen.

If you're listening online to the Frisco show and wanna share thoughts, come join us in the setlist thread tonight.

From a recent Newbie, welcome! Every show we have been to includes a bit of pre-show partying. I would plan on getting down to the Quarter by at least 3PM. That's our plan anyway. Leaving Miramar Beach at 10AM. 4.5 hour drive and parking. We plan to be on Bourbon by 3PM. Pat O'Briens for early happy hour, the Gumbo House for dinner around 5PM. Get to M'ville by 630PM for the Street Party.
Damn, JB just played his "Everyone Must Get Stoned" encore in Frisco. Sorry, I gotta go outside. <smile>

Here's a Good Question...

Here's a good question...if we have passes for the inside show, does that allow us to attend the block party at no extra charge? Hummmm....have to call 504-592-2565 when they open this morning in NOLA.

Inside ... Outside ... and What to wear ....

Catsway - That is an excellent question - the Mermaid and I would be interested in the answer when you find out…..not that we would want to go outside and leave Freddie and the Fishsticks inside but in the event that Jimmy ventures out (to see those outside - kinda like being seated behind the stage at a concert when Jimmy plays just to you and yes we have been there - anytime and anyplace for Buffett) it would be fun to be able to follow.

The Mermaid and I were talking about what you wear to what we are thinking will be a more intimate setting with Freddie and the Fishsticks….we are presuming that grass skirts just may not be appropriate inside….does anyone have thoughts on this????

Habourgirl - From your posts you have an in - what do you think? (and who is your in - just curious…)

We are now officially ready - we made flight and hotel reservations last night.…now that was a challenge at this late date….but after a little plundering we victorious. The Mermaid has been has already begun packing - not wasting anytime….

We are planning on going to see Jimmy and the Coral Reefer band Saturday at Jazz Fest…being Jazz Fest virgins anyone have any pointers….

Thanks …. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in NOLA……

I say wear whatever you want.....

If you want to sport the grass skirt, rock it out....

Update from Margaritaville NOLA Block Party

Posted: April 27, 2008 2:03 pm

Cruz'n Pirate, I spoke with a very nice Jennifer a few minutes ago at M'ville NOLA. I asked her if the Inside Pass Holders could go to the block party at no additional charge. She said that she believed that we could, but that was unofficial until Monday. She said to call back Monday and ask for Chris or Tyra. They would be the ones with the answers. Keeping my fingers crossed until then.
What to wear...? We are wearing our matching Wayne and Cathi 30th Anniversary Tour 2007 T-Shirts. Bright red! We are taking our 'keet to M'ville Panama City Tuesday night so she can get some swag at Smuggler's Hold.
PS...We just had a call from a friend at Jazz Fest right now and they said it rained all night. Its a mud bath! I am glad I was able to get passes for F&FS Thursday. We sold our tickets for Jazz Fest to a friend. We plan to stay High and Dry. <smile>

Thanks for the response - very much appreciated!

Catsway - Thanks for the update. It will be great to be able to experience both the inside and outside event but the Mermaid and I will more than happy to stay inside if need be especially with the weather forecast.

Habourgirl - Thanks for your suggestion on attire.

Just 3 days of work and we get to see Freddy and the Fishsticks up close and personal…YAHOO!!!!!

We are going to do our best to bring the weather with us (to almost quote someone we all know and admire)!!!

Thanks …. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in NOLA……

My life is rarely my own and as it turns out I may be able to be in NOLA this weekend.

Anyone holding an extra Freddy ticket they'd be willing to sell me???

dammit! dammit! dammit!

i don't know HOW i missed this one! dammit!

if ANYONE has two extra tickets, I will pay you a deposit to meet me at the door and i'll take care of the bar tab inside to return the favor! (per the rules of the sale, we have to meet you at the door w/ your CC in hand and go in with you - no hard tickets to sell).

my wife and I live in Fairhope (near Mobile) so we'd just drive over for the evening. we would be guaranteed to show...

c'mon.... somebody's gonna cancel...

anyway, if you have extra tickets, you can email me at bamachem@yahoo.com or call me at (251) 751-6050. i'm serious about picking up your and your significant other's bar tabs inside. drinks will be ON ME!
