Tonights Encore

Post by rich_big »

Seems I was in the great minority on the setlist thread in liking Rainy Day Women #12&35. Why are so many opposed to it? I have seen Dylan do it, look forward to seeing Jimmy do it and it is a great live song. It is a rock ‘n roll anthem (not *the* anthem, which of course is Rock and Roll All Night by KISS). Why do people not like Jimmy’s RDW?

Can only speak for myself, but I can think of at least a dozen Buffett songs I'd rather hear.....

It's not that it's Jimmy's version, I just dont like the song. Then again, there are some Buffett songs I dont like too, but I would still rather hear him play more old stuff.

Not a fan of the song.

As others have said, give me "Last Man Standing", "Survive" or any of another of Buffett songs in that slot. (and I'm not against covers, just not this one)

Well, if that didn't work I was going to resort to "an assortment of tunes played while zooming thru the wine country...

Safe travels, my friend. Do me a favor and hug Al for me, okay? And the rest of the gang, too. :D

I like the way Jimmy does the song well enough, but there are definitely other songs that I would not mind hearing. On the other hand, he did do one of my favorites, Defying Gravity, yaaaaaay!

I heard Survive once in Charlotte and went crazy...if he played it again I think I would just die!! My all time favorite....

I would rather hear Jimmy play Jimmy for an encore than Jimmy play someone else....just my 2 cents....

I like the song but would rather hear a Buffett song as an ending.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!
