Also, oddly, being in a completely dark room knowing that you are supposed to be alone, but being perfectly aware that you are not. Bottom-line, I'm afraid of the dark

I'm guessing you knew they were mexican by the sombreros? ;)
Roaches as a whole are pretty gross... *shudder*

Someone brought up fears vs. dislikes, and I think that's an important distinction. I dislike lots of things, some rational (to me), some not. As far as fears go, I don't know if I've ever taken the time to confront something I don't like out to find out if the root cause of disliking it was fear. I used to hate being on top of a tall ladder. I still do to some extent, but for a job I was doing a few years back, I had to do it, and the necesity of getting the job done overrode any fear, dislike, uncomfortability connected with it.

I can't imagine ever skydiving, but I think that's a rational belief, seeing as how I'd probably be doing it out of a perfectly fine airplane. Now, if the airplane were to be crashing, and my only hope for survival was to jump with a parachute, once again I'd (like to) think that necesity would win.

going over the Corpus Christi Bridge on the motorcycle

Image

Elevators just make me feel too claustrophobic, so I often avoid elevators and take the stairs if possible.

Going fast in the boat...and always afraid something will go wrong when we drive the boat up on the trailer or when loading and unloading the motorcycle.

Bridges especially the very tall ones!!! The old Cooper River bridge in Charleston SC was very SCARY...I would keep my eyes closed every time we crossed it! The new bridge is beautiful though.

Elevators....got stuck in one at the hospital where I worked.

That roach is too funny...don't like them either!! :D :D

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one with bridge issues.
My family thinks I'm a freak of nature.....I did feel somewhat vindicated when the bridge collapsed in Minneapolis.......

That Corpus Christi bridge would have me in tears.......

I always beg to go the long way around to get across into Corpus...

sometimes I get my way...sometimes I lose. NOT FUN!!!! It almost ruins all the fun for me. Instead of feeling, "ahhh we made it" I feel uncomfy for quite a while.

When they say, "See, that wasn't so bad" I still feel, "yes, it was"

There really is fun stuff to do on both sides of that damB bridge.

I also breathe a huge sigh of relief after getting through the tunnel in Mobile, AL. It's like I almost feel like I can't make it and then it's over. Good thing it is a short time.

I can't imagine an accident and not being able to get out...I'd walk out.

It almost makes me sick to watch this youtube of it.
