Mojito Mint
Does anybody on here have authentic mojito mint? I'm thinking of ordering some from Richters but I have no use for 6 plants and hate to pay for them plus shipping. I"ve heard however that it's alot better then the plain mint plants.

Navy Seals are Cooler then Pirates

You Can Dream Anyway, There's always next year!!!

I ordered six plants last summer...they really aren't
that big - just sprouts. I planted them ouside on
the deck in an area that was protected, yet had good
sun. They did well, and they did make a small difference
in the taste of the Mojito...until...the ants, squirrels, rabbits,
and all other manner of critters took a liking to mint!!
I didn't want to be spraying them with anything, so I salvaged what I
could and took them in the house...they died
Occasionally I get a little sprout coming up outside,
but it gets munched before it can grow, so I think the roots are pretty strong.
I think this summer I will stick to buying my mint already grown
and healthy!
Hope this helps in your decision![battingeyes [smilie=battingeyes.gif]](./images/smilies/battingeyes.gif)

I think a balcony will be much better...
and in a container will help keep it under
control when it gets happy.
It did take a while to get the plants since it
comes from Canada...Mojito mint is "Cuban"
so it can't be sold in the US...contraband herbs, you know!!

maybe not.. Mint is a strong thing..OceanCityGirl wrote:I will be growing it in a container on my balcony. Mint can get out of hand no matter what you do. I keep thinking that the stuff in the grocery store has pesticides too.
In Idaho they grow it in huge fields..
they have to wear gear..
the juice can burn on contact..
