Last night my oldest keet was at a Chesney concert in USC. On the first song, his foot apparently was caught in a the trap door on the stage. She said someone came to free his foot and he finished the song but you could tell he was in terrible pain. He then proceeded to get wasted on stage. He hoped around for the whole concert. Then Uncle Cracker came out and they sang all Uncle Cracker songs and then he told the audience they were just going to wing it........She said it was the strangest concert she's ever been to.....

Doesn't say anything about how he medicated the pain, tho....

1st stop of the tour. He likely did not have his timing down rght.
Maybe if he was a good musician (instead of a
peformer) he wouldn't have to rely on goofy stage tricks like that.

Just living the dream, man. Glad to know you're alive. You kinda fell off the face of the earth right around the NC phlocking time.

We were there last night. It was a pretty standard elevator that he rose up on from under the stage, but his foot was stuck and it took about a minute for him to free himself. He hobbled pretty badly through his whole show.
Uncle Kracker did not come out until late in the show and they sang their 4 song Uncle Kracker medley (Kenny must be the only way Uncle Kracker can get on stage) that they played in Charlotte two years ago--finishing up with David Allen Coe's "You Never Even Call Me By My Name" (written by Steve Goodman). He then finished the show and did a three song encore.
Throughout the show he was medicated by a red solo cup full of who knows what.
All in all a good show, sponsored by Corona. His shows are good, Jimmy's are great!
Regardless, it gave us the opportunity to knock the rust off the tail-gate prior to Tuesday night!

Was there also, and even after the accident he put on a good show. When his foot was stuck, we could hear him from where we were sitting screaming,"my foot, my foot is stuck". You could tell all through the show how much pain he was in when they showed him on the big screens! Local radio station today said he cracked a few bones in the foot! I give him credit for being able to keep going!

If he was a decent performer, he wouldn't need the tricks.
Jimmy's no great musician (in terms of playing/singing) but he's a great songwriter and performer.

I went to Buffett concerts in the early nineties where Jimmy had gimmicks too. I remember one show ('91?) where he arrived on stage in a mock up of the Hemisphere Dancer.
Some of those stunts made those shows among my most memorable.

not a KC fan but I hate to see something like that happen to anyone.
I've seen one report online that he actually "crushed several bones in his foot" so I can certainly understand the 'self-medication' everyone is describing. The reports also said that they had to cut his boot off of his foot when he finally got to the hospital.
Whatever you think about the guy, you have to admire someone who will play on through something like that for his fans.

I would imagine there are a lot of performers who would limp off and cancel the show after an injury like that.
