I think I know where Jimmy is in the book cover photo. He is lounging on Smather's Beach in Key West. That HAS to be it. There is the rock jetty and familiar palms. Any further angle to the right, you would be the stone building that houses the restrooms.

Good eye. Near the bottom of this photo, I think. Couldn't find a photo online from that same angle as the book.

I agree. I recognize it also. That has to be where it was taken.

I was on Smathers Beach just last month, saw some scattered pig tracks in the sand, never gave it a second thought...........

It's the beach on Sunset Key...tiny little island that's a 5 minute boot trip off of Key West (Hilton Resort launch).

Let's just say I have first hand experience on that beach and have swung in that hammock.

Don't waste your time....
I know someone who was there at the time of the shoot and that in the Sunset Key owners waiting room (Hilton Marina) there are framed pictures of the photoshoot.

Lets see...where would you be more likely to find Jimmy these days....on Smathers Beach, where the masses gather, or Sunset Key (cough...Tank Island...cough), where the commoners are kept at bay, literally....
