Mother's Day without mom.....

I just read this article....figured maybe it would help some others. Mother's day is very hard for me. I had an awesome relationship with my mom and i miss her so much!

Thank you for the article, Christine. And I am VERY sorry for your loss. I know it will be a hard day for you tomorrow.

I went into a Hallmark store this week to find a card for one of my very good friends who just lost her mother to cancer a few weeks ago.

I couldn't believe that they did not have a card for those people who have lost their mothers. I had to buy her a generic sort of "Thinking of you today on Mother's Day" because I wanted her to know that I was aware that the day was not going to be so happy.

My thoughts will be with you tomorrow, also.

and my thoughts will be with your friend.....the first was the worst for me. I think it's a bit hard for me because my birthday falls about a week later and it's a double whammy.
you are a good friend for wanting to give her a card i am sure she appreciates your love and support!

So sorry, Christine, for your loss of your mom. It will be VERY hard for me after I lose mine. This is my first without her living here in seven years, but I'm going there to see her.

My first Father's Day without Dad, I bought a card and put it in my dresser drawer. I take it out and read it to him once in awhile.

I've been going through the same thing, Christine.

Very teary today.....my Mom is such a huge part of the person that I am....she is in almost everything I do and everything I have become.

There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her, wish I could talk to her one more time......no one could make me feel better about anything like she could.

And I immediately thought of both of you, because I know how important your Moms were to you, and have always loved hearing you share your stories about them. I know they are watching over you and smiling..and they are very proud of all you both have accomplished. I love you, my friends. Know that I'll be sending extra love your way tomorrow.

I lost my mom to cancer 12 years ago next month. She was my best friend... not a day goes by that I don't think of her....

{{{Christine and Paige}}} Will be thinking of you tomorrow and praying that you can smile through your tears at the wonderful happy memories.

I'll be keeping a coworker friend close in prayer and thought, too. Her 21-year-old daughter was murdered last month while she was away at college in Madison. I can't begin to imagine her pain right now...

I have a chance to pass on my Mom's legacy with my daughter and that is truly my joy......I hear myself saying so many of the things she said to me....and gee, what a surprise, I get the same

that I gave my Mom when I was 16....I'm sure she's getting a BIG kick out of that!

I have a double whammy at Mother's Day. My mom died on Easter, then a year later my dad died on Mother's Day. We always said that was the best present for her. I miss them both. Loads of hugs to all the ones we love.

I can relate to this as well. My mom died 3 years ago. Tomorrow I will go to the cemetery for a few minutes and bring flowers.

I remember one of my coworkers complaining that her mother would call her and ask her how was work. My boss said, enjoy it now, you will miss that some day.

Yeah, Mothers Day sucks.
