Flag up at Key West Margaritaville??

Hi guys!
I heard a line in a song about Jimmy that says if you want to know if Jimmy is in Key West you can check the flag at Margaritaville. Is there any truth to that? I know in England they do that when the Queen is in town, so is the same true when the King of Margaritaville is in town too? I'll be down there during the summer break in his tour and sure would be thrilled to know if he's in town or not.
