Bama Breeze Frozen Concoction

Post by Tropical Hillbilly »

There is a drink at the Margaritaville Cafes called "The Bama Breeze". My wife absolutely LOVES those things. I live nowhere near one of these restaraunts. Does anyone have a recipe similar to these drinks?

I will be at Margaritaville later this afternoon to hear John Frinzi,
and will write down the ingredients for you.
The menu does not list proportions,
but you can play with the ingredient list until it is the way you like it.

The online menu lists the ingredients as:

Cruzan orange and vanilla rums, orange juice and our special mango and coconut mix.

I hate when restaurants list things like "our special mango & coconut mix".....like the average customer is going to put them out of business! :o

This might call some extensive research. Everybody get out their rum bottles and let's start squeezing oranges and cutting up mangoes. We're not leaving until we get this right!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Isn't the special sauce usually just thousand island dressing or ketchup & mayo? Wait, this is "special mix" not "special sauce".

I am looking for the recipie as well. I tried mixing different ratios and all I got was plastered.:) I'd like to have it down pat so every drink is good not just the latter ones.:) I wish they would publish it in one of the cookbooks I would have no problem paying for it.
