Sunny Jim (James White) MP3?

Post by cecoleman »

Anyone know where you can download Sunny Jim? I was on Itunes this week and his music isn't on there like other trop rockers I've seen. File sharing is also blank in findings of his tunes. I didn't want to order his cd and wait on it, I wanted to listen to it all and download the tunes I really liked. I'm making a two disc compilation of Trop rocker tunes for summer and the beach and pool. I researched all the big names in the scene and am working on playlist, but I really wanted some Sunny Jim, and get me some.

Here is what I got so far...

A Pirate on the Caribbean Boat Drunks
Girls All Want to see Jimmy
Corona Alone Again
Southside Summer Nights
Blame it on Buffett Kelly McGuire
Boat in Belize
Island State of Mind
Ambergris Caye
Turn Around and Run
Livin the life Brent Burns
Hit the Beach
Parrothead Rendezvous
Margarita Smile
Jamaicanmecrazi
Belize Captain Quint
Pirates Confession
High On Love
A Lotta Pina Coladas Gene Mitchell
Down Island Way
Tropical Depression Jim Morris
Laid Back and Key Wasted
Blame it on the Margaritas Mile Marker 24
Everybody Wants to be Jimmy Buffett Eric Stone
Latitudes & Attitudes

In response to Ringling, I didn't want a full cd's worth, just a few tunes for the compilation. I'm buying the others on Itunes, but Jim's aren't on there. Get it?

Works for me. :) Well, MP4, actually, since I use iTunes. But that's just me. :) Try Sandbar Serenade and Escape Artist.

In a few months, once my new album gets released and the pig makes it all the way through the python, you'll be able to get my cover of James' wonderful song, "Cabana Boy," on iTunes and other digital sites. But I don't know why he's not on there otherwise.

so if they are not for sale on iTunes, you'll still have to buy a CD or two, or else the artist doesn't get paid for his work. Get that?

Hi there Cecoleman.... My suggestion would be that as SJ is a indie artist - there is most likely some sort of business reason why he does not have his stuff on MP3.

Maybe contact him? He is easy enough to contact - he could probably then answer your question for you.

As they are indie artists and a lot of people on here have a strong affiliation with them - most will suggest to buy the CD to help support them.

From the SJ cd's I have - all the songs are great - of course I have my favourites that are on my MP3 - but I am glad I have all of the CD to listen to if I choose.

You can listen to streaming samples of Sunny Jim's songs on his website:
http://sunnyjim.com/ListenMusic.asp

then you can order cds from the website, pay with paypal, and have them in hand within a couple days. If you don't have any of his music, I would recommend starting with 'Sandbar Serenade'
