I did watch the last 15 minutes of the Celtics game. It was quite bad. I miss Marty Conlon.
I watched a documentary about Limestone prisons on MSNBC, good stuff... while the Celtics game was on the lower TV muted. At my home office I have two TV on top of each other so I can watch two things at the same time...come sin handy during football season.

well he is out of control too. Everyone is out of control... speaking of that why do all the NBA Final games start at 9pm est? I realize it is for TV purposes but come on...BottleofRum wrote:The guy in Detroit is out of control....RAGTOP wrote:pre-game intros have gotten way out of control. Sorry Larry about the "misrepresentation". My first thought was ANY feedback regarding the series. I decided to throw a poll out regarding a winning team after the fact.LIPH wrote:If you're asking who cares shouldn't that be one of the options in the poll? I don't give a s*** about basketball, I only opened the thread so I could vote "Who cares?" and it's not there.

and more proof that the NBA wants a Lakers-Celtics final....the Spurs got completely screwed last night at the end of the game. Down by 2 with 2 seconds left Brent Barry was clearly fouled, it couldn't have been more clear, had it been called he would have received 3 free-throws to win or tie the game.... but no call!

Celtics-Pistons tonight, lets see how obvious the refs lean in the Celtics favor tonight, the only question is can the Celtics capitalize on it, in game 4 they couldn't.

What
Sometimes you wonder why bother being a fan when it's so obvious it's only about the money and no longer the game. Sort of reminds you about last years Super Bowl when we learned you can throw a flag for a non call

Speaking of pre-game introductions, I don't think you should be announced as "From West Dakota University, John Doe" unless you have a degree from West Dakota University. These rookies that play a single season of college ball before jumping to the NBA are no more from there than somebody that drives by the school on their way to work.

WhatA contraversy regarding NBA officials and the Lakers. Quick! Someone tell Ralph Nader. It worked so well after the Lakers-Kings series a few years back.

Unscientific but 65% of people think a league office would influence its refs to affect the results in a desired way?

Well, the NBA and ABC want Celtics-Lakers so there is no telling what they will do to make it happen. When the Spurs-Pistons players a few year's back it was one of the lowest or the lowest ever TV ratings for an NBA Finals and the TV exs don't want that to happen again.
The Celtics have received a fair amount of calls in their favor this series. Last night the game was officiated in a strange way, in the first-half every call went against Boston, the the second every call went for Boston.

I think it will go into the conspiracy theories that the NBA wants the 2nd and 6th largest TV markets in the finals (if I'm not mistaken I think the Boston market includes most of New England except the southwestern corner of Connecticut).SMLCHNG wrote:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080529/ap_ ... ba_no_foulBottleofRum wrote:and more proof that the NBA wants a Lakers-Celtics final....the Spurs got completely screwed last night at the end of the game. If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.
