Sleepy's
Has anyone bought a mattress from this company? I did last week and am having it delivered Friday but am just reading a bunch of terrible reviews and complaints about them online and am a little worried.

Ok, most complaints I have read deal with sagging and defective mattresses within the first year, and the company does everything in its power to avoid exchanges, sometimes even falsifying inspection reports on defective products. New Jersey and New York have brought suits against them.
Anyways, I bought a Kingsdown Crown Empire Pillow Top mattress...

Oh God, I bought a pillow top mattress over the winter, I LOVE it, I think it was a Sealy or something. Then I went out and found some 1000 count sheets at a ridiculous sale price. I am one happy camper at bedtime!UpstateNYPH wrote:Ok, most complaints I have read deal with sagging and defective mattresses within the first year, and the company does everything in its power to avoid exchanges, sometimes even falsifying inspection reports on defective products. Hopefully you bought a brand that is good. I would think the manufacture would stand behind their product no matter what the distributor is doing. That said, MrOC does the hvac work in all the Pa/NJ/Del/NY Sleepys. He marvels at the fact that the chain is in business as he has never once been in one with a customer. And the managers are cranky, he says.

I bought my current mattress there - got a hell of a deal and was delivered very quickly. It would have been nice if the delivery crew had even a cursory grasp on the English language, but they understood when I pointed to the room it went in, so I guess that's all the interaction I needed.
As for the sagging mattress dealie - dont buy the cheapest junk they have, and you'll be fine.
