BottleofRum wrote:Maybe it is just me but some people in the world are just a little too sensitive. Rachael Ray did a new Dunkin' Donuts commercial in it she wears a scarf that looks kind of like a keffiyeh, a traditional headdress worn by Arab men. Some observers, including ultra-conservative Fox News commentator Michelle Malkin, were so incensed by the ad that there was even talk of a Dunkin' Donuts boycott. "The keffiyeh, for the clueless, is the traditional scarf of Arab men that has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad," Malkin said.... WTF

Dunkin' Donuts has abruptly canceled the ad.

Give it a break. This is just stupid. Maybe it's because I own one too. My grandmother bought it for me on a trip to Israel. Although I have worn it to halloween parties dressed as a terriorist. But this was before 911 that is and I don't think I would do that again anytime soon.

FYI, Boys and Girls - Dunkin Donuts has been using Rachel Ray in their ads for over a year now. I hate Dunkin Donuts and don't like rachel ray but this brouha is f**kin ridiculous. Get over it. Next thing you know , Americans will be boycotting French Fries. Oh - we've already played that game.

Yeah, except for that whole "nuclear winter" thing where we adversely affect the climate and we're screwed. Oh wait, you don't believe we're affecting the climate.

Gee, I remember as long as 15 years ago seeing street vendors in New York selling these scarfs all over the place.
