Ok, so I own a Vita-Mix blender - this thing can grind anything and it sounds like a jet engine when it's turned on. I thought about getting the FCM but can't justify spending $$$ when I have the Vita-Mix (although the FCM is pretty cool!).

Anyone have a comparison between these appliances? If I buy a FCM for tailgating, can I plug it into the "cigarette lighter" in my car?

I used to chew through a blender every couple years, especially with smoothies. My sis has a vita-mix. I would say it is the exception. I'd bet it is as good as or better then the MFCM. And you can do extra things with it. Have you made banana whips with it. You should try them. There is a store here that sells them and they're very popular. A great ice cream substitute with no cholesterol or fat. My sis buys cases of bananas to make this.

Our house makes two smoothie/energy drinks every AM. You gotta find a 30 year old Osterizer. The damb thing is as tough as a (fill in the blank of favorite long lasting car you once had) 63 Chevy pick up 8)

if you are using your blenders to do smoothies do they handle frozen fruit well. We use alot of frozen fruit in our blenders which is what makes it so hard.

Yes, frozen fruit everyday. I think it reall is a case of, "they don't make them like they used too." Our coffee pot is two years old, bought it at Costco. Wen't to get a new one at Costco and all they had was the same brand. It hit me standing in line what was about to happen. I left and am still looking for a new coffee pot. Hey, there use to be a site I went to and now I can't find it. It was a cocktail making site and you would type in all the ingredients you had and it would come back with cocktail recipes using those ingredients. Anyone know the address?

Ok.
Can someone tell me the difference between the "Bahama's" version of the FCM and the "Key West" version.

Want to buy one and saw three versions (the other being the Figi).
The Key West one seems to be $100 more.
Please help ASAP. I would like it before the 4th.
Thanks!

Thanks for posting that site!

Gonna have some fun looking at that one!

I'm hosting a BBQ on the 4th of July, so I'm going to dig into the site and see if I can find some good ones.

Laughed when I saw one called "1-900-f**-MEUP" Something like that.

Buy a portable power pack that is what we used to power ours.

Supposedly the pricier FCM is pre-set for various frozen drinks and has a larger ice hopper. Save your money, buy the cheapest (original) and it will do everything you need. Just takes practice...... :pirate:
