Just watching this again, its such an excellent video.
Grapefruit (chew a little bathing suit..!) and Who's the Blonde Stranger, (stayed out all night and for me that's the first time - with that little glance with Josh Leo)
And Timmy B Schmidt also..
I miss Greg Taylor a lot - Amy Lee too.
Brilliant!

I still can't believe someone at Margaritaville Inc hasn't decided this needs to put on DVD.
I've been waiting patiently for Jimmy to give this the thumbs up. Come on already!!!!

It's true, it's a classic. I would also like to see something from the early 90's put onto a live dvd. Fruitcakes era or even the dvd version of feeding frenzy.

It is possible to make an "edited" dvd copy:
Take the recording from VH1 which has limited commercial breaks and beeps out a few words and place it on a tivo or dvr, then connect to a dvd burner and either fast forward thru the commercials while recording from the dvr in "real time" or edit with a scene editor on your computer. It would be some work and probably not the same quality as a dvd from the master, but doable.

It's such a fun show. My absolute favorite is "Door Number 3." Can't believe it's not available on DVD.

I just used my dvd recorder hooked up to a vcr. Recorded the whole concert on dvd. Then used Roxio to clean it up and reburn it.
I then converted the audio to MP4 via Total Recorder so I can listen to it on my Ipod.
Really simple and now I have a professional looking DVD

He did record a show from the Fruitcakes tour. Buckeye Lake. I've seen it - at Marg in New Orleans. Why it didn't ever come out is a mystery to me.
Live By The Bay is OK.
