Nadirah CD Sneak Preview

Greetings All,
Things are moving fast now with the CD. All the songs are recorded, mixed and ready to be mastered! I am very pleased, each and every song is special to me.
JB and the Coral Reefer Band is coming to my town next week so I thought it would be the perfect time to invite you to a "Sneak Preview" performance I am doing here on Tuesday night of songs from "Nod to the Storyteller". The location is CENCI Restaurant, 1259 Glenwood Ave., Atlanta Ga. ph:404 627 0533 showtime 9pm.
Wait until you hear the duet with Jimmy of "When the War is Over" on the CD. it's incredible (if I must say so myself) and here's a little secret I'd like to share with you...
At the beginning of the 2007 tour we were rehearsing in San Francisco and Jimmy had this really cool song by JJ Kale and Eric Clapton for us to learn. We all loved the song and I was especially excited about doing something that made a social statement. (Between you and me I think that was one of the reasons Jimmy chose the song.) Anyway, some folks thought it might be a little too political for the show so it was canned. Later when Jimmy and I talked about songs for my CD he suggested "When the War is Over". I jumped all over the opportunity to put it on the CD and when I asked Jimmy to do it as a duet with me he most graciously said yes.
Everyone knows that a JB concert is about escapism and enjoying the good life but if we really know him we know he has another side too. A side shown by "Singing for Change", Save the Manatees, as well as benefit performances for other charities he is involved in and supports. This is why the opportunity to do this particular song as a duet with him makes it so special to me. I get to share in Jimmy's indulging a bit of the other side of himself. I don't know about ya'll (hey I'm from Texas) but I think that is way cool.
Thanks for sharing in this whirlwind ride with me. If you can make the show Tuesday, please introduce yourself to me. Otherwise I will see you at Mac's show Wednesday at "Center Stage" or on Thursday on the big stage.
Peace to All,
Nadirah
