I get 26 days a year.. but with Hunting season starting in the middle of the week..
and my later start time.. there goes an extra day
the truck was sick.. Day

I was sick.. Two days..
so almost a week that I spent..

Well a nice Parrothead bought my 2 pavillion tickets to Alpine. Sold them for face but after paypal fees and certified mail I lost about $15. Not complaining but next year I am not buying for any friends. Just myself and brother in law.

Finz Out

It is my belief that many tickets bought are by brokers and scalper to begin with. It limits the tickets available to those who really wish to attend. Then they immediately post them for sale at an inflated price. A recent example would be Bruce Springsteen in Greensboro. Seats I purchased for $95 (plus the usual 25% crap with Ticket Bastard) one row below mine (same seats) went on sale the next day on Stub Hub for $300.00. I believe those wishing to attend have become complacent (at least we don't have to camp out all night) and we are paying for it at the ease of our techno-driven society. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong

when I scalped.. (back in the in line over night days)
that was my Feeling.. most of the people did not want to put
the time and effort into getting good seats..

so they paid me to.. 8) 8) 8)

Years ago I'd buy all the tickets and get my buddies together for a show. It was awesome. Now, I don't feel compelled to go to hear the same set list that I've been hearing for years, and my buddies have a" been there done that attitude" so we don't bother. So there's six-eight tickets for the rest of you to go to MSG, Greatwoods, Jones Beach, MSG, and where ever else I would've gone.

I'd be surprised to learn that it is the cost of a ticket that is driving down the demand. I thought he was still one of the cheaper tickets around. What did lawn seats at Atlanta cost this year? If he is still cheap compared to other acts, then I don't think that you can say its the ticket price/economy. I think you would have to say it is the ticket price and the product that result in lower demand.

It's because the ticket prices are too high! It's not the ecomony. Brad Paisley/Chesney tickets go for less than 1/2 the price and it's equal fun. I still love you more JB.

I think it's a combination of things such as: high ticket prices, the economy, same set list, and the show is actually less than it used to be...bring back the horn section! I love Jimmy, but, $150.00 (after TM fees) for every seat in the shed is ridiculous.

We just saw buffett in atlanta, got 10th row from a scalper for face. and it was worth every penny. Chesney tix aren't worth even a tenth of a buffett ticket. but I love those island songs that chesney does like "tractor's sexy" and "don't blink" and "young" etc. lol really puts me in an island mood. (insert sarcasm here) But I guess you are right, it is equal fun for the trailer park crowd.

c'mon, dion, if you don't like Chesney that's fine, but do you really have to slam those of us who do? :-?

yes you are right. it is not your fault that kenny chesney sucks. there are simply alot of people out there, including me that are tired of hearing about chesney being as good as buffett. To put him on a level with a Buffett or Marley, etc is laughable. I listened to his whole "poets and pirates "cd on a British Airways flight last week and did not hear even one tropical style song. or any of his other "hits" for that matter. all I am saying is whovever thinks chesney's music is island music needs to get out more often . he caters to a crowd who really doesn't get out often. Of course you can brag on kenny chesney all you want. People do it all the time. But people also rip on chesney here too. Last I checked, this is a Buffett website, not a Chesney website. After digressing, Buffett pavillion tix have been full in the Atlanta and Charlotte concerts that we attended. so I guess it is the right price.

As far as it being a Buffett website, YOU brought up Chesney, not anyone else. If you're tired of hearing about him, don't bring it up.

I didn't didn't say Chesney was "as good as buffett", didn't "put him on a level with a Buffett or Marley", didn't "brag on kenny chesney".

I merely objected to being slammed and referred to as "the trailer park crowd" because I happen to like the music the guy puts out.

It's perfectly legitimate to say something to the effect of "I don't like Chesney".... Fine.... There are plenty of artists I don't care for, either.

But to say "kenny chesney sucks" and to make disparaging remarks about his fans is a) not true (just look at the money he makes. If he sucked he wouldn't be making it) and b) disrespectful to the people that like his music.

Your opinion is yours, and valid, but projecting it onto the artist and his fans doesn't do much but start fights.....

Sorry to disappoint you, but I get out pretty often....

Kenny Chesney is cool. He sure has done a lot and has quite a career ahead of him. His fans shouldn't be worrying about the current tour being the last tour any time soon.
