yes you are right. it is not your fault that kenny chesney sucks. there are simply alot of people out there, including me that are tired of hearing about chesney being as good as buffett. To put him on a level with a Buffett or Marley, etc is laughable. I listened to his whole "poets and pirates "cd on a British Airways flight last week and did not hear even one tropical style song. or any of his other "hits" for that matter. all I am saying is whovever thinks chesney's music is island music needs to get out more often . he caters to a crowd who really doesn't get out often. Of course you can brag on kenny chesney all you want. People do it all the time. But people also rip on chesney here too. Last I checked, this is a Buffett website, not a Chesney website.

After digressing, Buffett pavillion tix have been full in the Atlanta and Charlotte concerts that we attended. so I guess it is the right price.

Since we are doing Philly and Jones Beach we decided to skip MSG and AC. Even though we are only 40 min from the Garden it is still cheaper to go to Philly. Tickets for two in the nosebleed seats MSG would have been close to 170. Then add 35 for getting there (transit or driving same costs). Meals and drinks for two add another 200.00. Close to 400.00.

yes you are right. there are many artists out there I don't care for but don't bash them. but "kenny chesney" is a special situtation. since you are a moderator, of approx 20000 posts, you surely have noticed that discussing kenny chesney is like discussing politics, it will eventually get ugly. before someone says this like they always do when kenny chesney comes up , we all know that jimmy buffett has Not cornered the market on island music. anyone can do it and that is great, but I have been a fan of buffett for about thirty years and attended 80+ shows and have never seen an artist in all this time like kenny chesney who without even trying creates more meaningless arguments about his music than any other from other buffett fans. Some Buffett fans think that chesney's music is so bad, that they take offense when uninformed people put chesney in the same category as Buffett when chesney's is not even close to Buffett's. So the next time chesney is brought up here, on the buffettnews web site, it will be someone else , not me, who rips him. Why? because it is kenny chesney , that's why. lol

I understand the situation, however, just because others do it doesn't make it right. Poking fun is normally harmless enough, but your first statement was rather harsh, especially toward Chesneyheads!

I love Jimmy's music.

I like KC's music.

I have NEVER compared either musicians.

Each are different. Each are enjoyable. Each have a similar and different fan base.

And I respect anyone's taste in the music they like, even if I don't.

If you sell at the Garden be very careful as the known scalpers-some of whom are well known to sell fake tickets-could give you a big problem. As far as I know it's illegal to sell within 1000 feet of the Garden.

I just went onto Ticketmaster and found floor tickets for the MSG show! Doesn't surprise me. What does surprise me is the number of tickets for sale in the ticket swap area for all of the shows. I think this is something more than price alone.

BTW - I spent Thanksgiving 2007 on JVD. Chesney (is that even how it is spelled) is all over that island. It is almost like Buffett and Key West, except Chesney hasn't opended up a tourist trap, yet. lol!
