Sonny Landreth's From the Reach

Post by PA PAR8 HED »

I picked up the new Sonny Landreth CD this week. It is very good, classic Sonny I think.

Not much of JB on Howlin' Moon, you can hear more of Dr. John. But it is a great CD in its own right.

My biggest fear is that when I die, my wife will sell all my Buffett stuff for what I said I paid for it!

For anyone in Central PA, Sonny will be playing a free show at Long's Park in Lancaster on August 17. A bunch from my PHC will be there.
I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now!

The day after he was in Raleigh with JB, Sonny performed over at Papa Mojo's Roadhouse in Durham....which I didn't know about or I would have gone!

Anyway, I was talking to the owner today and mentioned that I could kick myself for missing it, and he says Sonny is booked to come back September 28th, but it's not been announced on the web site yet.

He also said that shows last week sold out quickly (it's not that large a place) so it might be worth keeping an eye on their web sitehttp://papamojosroadhouse.com/ if you are in the area.

I believe that down on the beach
Where the seagulls preach
Is where the Chinese buried the truth...
