Just saw it for 3.09 coming home, some places listed online in the state (MI) are down to 2.99.

Are we conditioned enough now that we consider $3/gal. a deal? I think so. :-?

I posted this in another thread earlier today.
Wino you know wrote:Gas here has gone below $3.00 per gallon for the first time since February, but that's only for the ethynol crap.
As of today (10-9-2008) it's
$2.98 for ethynol (89 octane, which I NEVER use)
$3.08 for regular (87 octane)
$3.18 for premium (91 or 92 octane)

I always by my gas at the Wal Mart gas station, use my Wal Mart gas card, and pay .10 cents per gallon less than what the commoners pay.

Some friends took the ferry over to Venezuela (10 miles away by sea, but more like 15-20 to the nearest actual town with road, due to the delta of the Orinoco River) and they said gas there is US 12 CENTS a gallon. Fill the tank for $2.00 US.
This reminds me of Louisiana in the old days with non taxed gasoline.
One of the things we are dreading most when we have to go back stateside is the gas prices. Here, it's a minor expense we never think of. You can drive all month for about $30 US.
People here without cars take a maxi taxi to work for TT $1.50 each way, that's about US 20 cents each way to commute. With cars, it isn't the cost, it's just the traffic jams.
