It's about the same from Boston too. A couple of them go from BOS to JFK to Paris.LIPH wrote:I found a nonstop flight for a little over $900, flight time is about 7 hours. Who's going to Paris Sept. 19, 2008?

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!

From a quick check...the cheapest flight out of LAX would be $1126 and 14 hours flight time. That's with one stop. It just gets worse from there.LIPH wrote:I found a nonstop flight for a little over $900, flight time is about 7 hours. They tried to route me through Houston as well. Direct flights would run me 100,000 miles. With the stops in Houston is was 75,000...the extra 25,000 are well worth it.LIPH wrote:I found a nonstop flight for a little over $900, flight time is about 7 hours. So are you going to book it?

I may just do that. I went to Paris last year, I've never been to Tahiti. Besides, I'd rather hang out with you and Carol then Kevin.ScarletB wrote:Save your money for Tahiti Larry. I saw that flight too.......it's listed for about $275 with the rest in taxes and chargesskipper2 wrote:I just found an Air India flight out of Newark for 688/RT. Do I want to fly on Air India?
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Found non-stop flights from Atlanta on the 18th returning on the 20th with hotel room for $2350 total for two guests. We already are spending a week in St. Thomas, USVI in October and have a seven night cruised booked for January, 2009. Oh what the hell, I gotta figure out something really good for dinner tonight so I can convince my lovely wife that we should go. I promised her we would only go see Jimmy in small venues from now on like NOLA in this past May. Maybe some nice ribeyes on the grille tonight?

$2300 might need to be more than that... Wagyu sirloins minimum..catsway wrote:Found non-stop flights from Atlanta on the 18th returning on the 20th with hotel room for $2350 total for two guests.
