Looking forward to meeting you Alan and Noreen and also everyone else.
If it is like last year in Paris it will be absolutely fantastic!!! If we had been certain he was playing at Paris this year we could have saved all the money it is costing for the trip to Las Vegas and San Francisco - but to see Jimmy 3 times in two months it will be worth it. Wonder what Jimmy is doing on the Saturday night in Paris?

We should have a P.H.U.K id. so we know who we are looking for?
I still have the original pics that were made up.....

Do you want me to look into the cost of t-shirts or where you thinking of 'badges' etc? I still have my BN tag from Tampa....

I had a super t-shirt made up following the Paris show last year (as there was nothing on sale at the venue) It has 'He went to Paris' on the front and then the original poster decal on the back. It didnt cost much to do....

Let me know - it will be great to meet you at last

Yes it would be super to have the T Shirts or badges. Thought Jimmy had mentioned last year that he was going to have T Shirts done. Does anyone know who could ask him if he could get some printed to sell on?

Save your money for Tahiti Larry. Carol and I are working on getting a group to rent a villa. :D
I may just do that. I went to Paris last year, I've never been to Tahiti. Besides, I'd rather hang out with you and Carol then Kevin.
I just checked and round trip to Tahiti on air france is $1695.00

thats not too bad.

WE went to vegas last year and your right it was a blast, made it on to the jumbotron with" my we went to paris" T shirt, but it's a lot of money for 4 days and it will be my third concert this year. My son and I where held by security for trying to steal a banner (come back corona)

Have you tried www.fnacspectacles.com

Have received an email to say they still have tickets. We got our last Paris tickets through them when the offical site was saying sold out.

Worth trying

Hotel Advice

Post by melaniebritt »

Someone mentioned earlier in this conversation a recommendation on a hotel near the Opera House. I'll take any advice out there on places to stay. Last year we stayed on Ile Saint Louis but our budget won't take that this year.

Last year we stayed near the Opera at Hotel Cordelia which we could recommend and this year we are staying at the Best Western Hotel Folkestone Opera for 2 nights. If you travel by the Roissy bus from Charles de Gaulle airport then the bus stops outside the Opera which is convenient for any hotels near the Opera. To get to the New Morning you need only to get the Metro to Strasbourg St Denis and it is not very far to the New Morning.

Hi
Ive just booked a night at the Hotel Liege Strasbourg. It looks fairly basic but Im only sleeping there for 1 night so what the heck. According to the hotel info its only 300 yards from the New Morning. Total price including 9.30am Eurostar from London is only £168.

Check out the Best Western site as there are two BW's on the same road as the New Morning. We stayed in one of them last year. The rooms were small by american standards but clean and quiet.

We were already planning to be in Paris from the 21st with some friends so am now in the process of trying to add an extra couple of days to our stay. If that doesnt work will probably go for the BW again. It was a few minutes walk from the venue - or stagger if you had been in the bar over the road!!

Michelle - it will be good to meet you at last! This year we will at least know the routine and maybe we can come up with a parisian form of tailgating......... How about some decorated tables at Starbucks??

I stayed at a place called the Golden Tulip Opera de Noailles, it's a few blocks from the Opera House. I booked it last year through British Airways at ba.com and it was cheaper than going directly through the hotel's website. It was $240/night last year, when I checked last week after this show was announced it was $213/night. I didn't look at the hotel's website but last year it was something like 260 euros/night if I had booked directly with the hotel so it's cheaper through British Airways.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Hey guys!

I live in Engalnd and got tickets for the show last week! (Y)
This will be my first Jimmy Buffett show after been a fan for abnout 5 years!...at last!

I will be flying from England to Paris (Charles de Gaulle) and staying at a hotel which is about a 5-10min walk from the venue, its;
New hotel Gare du Nord. This hotel is also only about a 2 minute walk from the Gare du Nord train station. There is a direct train to this station from the airport that only takes 15min!

Thought that maybe helpful to anyone coming over from the states :-?

Thanks

Adam
