I can never go back again......reflections of the PK show

I should finish that sentence ;) I can never go back again to any seat not in the 2nd row, LOL! I thought I wouldn't recover from row D (so like row 8 or something w/ the pit) in Cincy. But row CCC (which is row 2) in Detroit was better!!!

I managed to score 1 row CCC off a desperate scalper on Ebay for $180! My seats were near dead center (I was behind those blond chicks in black dresses that didn't know a single song  ). And while I thought my time w/ Jimmy had passed, I was wrong. Seeing the show from 2nd row brought it all back! I'm gonna start saving NOW for the next PK show because I will never go back to single letter seats ;)

If you EVER get the chance to go that close, DO IT! It's AMAZING!

Some images I have from the night....some from my iPhone some from my P&S w/o flash

Cool pics! Congrats on scoring the excellent seat! :D

I think it's funny Jimmy is now trading his flip flops for clothing items he sees in the crowd!  (At least, I assume, based on article snippet I read in the News Forum. 1st I know of was Jazz Fest - not sure about others.)

Glad you snagged front row. It is absolutely worth it. :D

IMO it isn't bad, either, to move back to the lawn or pavillion for another show. It's just a different experience. I've been super-close a few times and then in the rafters for others, and they have all been equally enjoyable--just in different ways.

Either way, seeing JB in a Redwings jersey is repulsive. [smilie=puking.gif] [smilie=puking.gif] [smilie=puking.gif]

Agreed. I scored front row dead center seats at the Gillete Stadium show last year and my wife and I were blown away. What a tremendous experience. Our seats were next to those very pretty, fun girls in the matching shirts although from I can remember (barely) they were wearing Landshark Lager shrits. Whatever they were wearing they certainly were cute little hotties!

Mal, wouldn't you say being on stage with the man is the best place to be...but if you can't get there...<sigh>...front row is OK

Well, you know me, I don't like to rub things in. But you're right. If I can't be ON the stage, then front row, center, in a small bar will suffice.

I feel your "pain" My first Buffett show two years ago I stood six feet away from him and shook his hand. (Aspen 2006) Still had fun on the lawn last year, but it was different, that's for sure.

Sitting about 30 rows back this year....a $170+ ticket I got on eBay for $54. (100% feedback seller, and I'm confident it is real).

Glad you had a great experience!

As an Avs fan, that jersey had me vomiting as well!

Peace,
Matt

I was just thinking how much I enjoyed it!!!!! Of course, I don't have an allegiance to any other team so that is why.

Wow, great pics and story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing, and I too think it's cool he had the jersey on, he usually dons a phillies uniform shirt in Philly, think we will see that again on saturday, lol.

Well all us Metro Detroiters loved the Wings jersey. Nice way to honor the Stanley Cup Champions and get some more applause. Not that he needed it. Anything the man says promotes cheers from all the rabid loving (and intoxicated) phans!

GO WINGS!!!

:D
