If you are knowledgeable about some products, hobbies, etc. buying and selling on ebay can be a decent way to make some cash. I have a friend who has really gotten good at buying and selling coins, Russian watches and art via ebay. He also has done the search for common misspellings and gotten items for a really low price and turned around and spelled the brand correctly and made a nice profit. When we worked together two years ago, he earned $40k from his day job and another $12.5k from ebay. Now he makes $30k on the day job and close to $25k from his ebay business.
