The title song for the tour debuted in Texas and was played at the next few shows, including the Jazz Fest, but hasn't been played since. What's up? I really liked that simple tune.
Ideas? Info??
Thx for any insight on this.

Maybe he dropped it because he realized how bad the song is. It's right up there with Here We Are for giving himself and his fans a pat on the back. Now, if they were jingles (which they pretty much are), I'm sure they would achieve the desired affect. Maybe it'll show up in a commercial for Margaritaville, Inc.

I don't get to listen to a lot of shows, but I'm thinking maybe he "replaced" it with "We're Still Here" that he's done in concert at Frisco and Raleigh this year?

Holy Toledo! What's that song he's done at the shows I've seen this year then?????? It seems very similar in "tone" but I think it's a bit more clever. Tiki, you "understand" me...what song am I thinking of????

We're Still Here is the new song he was doing. He dropped it from the setlist for a couple of shows but did it again at Madison Square Garden last Thursday. I don't think he did it in Philly Saturday night. At least I don't remember hearing it. I don't care for the song, it sounds like a work in progress.

If it is it's going to need a
lot of work. Like a complete overhaul.

yes, it's rough, and yes, it's simple and i really like it . a lot.
i think it's refreshing to have a song that's about the ride, a song that's not completely perfect and yes, still something of a work in progress.
i hope i get to hear it live.

Songs that are about pats on the back are in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. That's where they belong.
Hilarious movie.

the title of the tour, the year of still here, might lead one to think that it's the last year being here. but the lyrics of the song, we're still here, seem more forward thinking, like there's no intention to quit touring, but rather there is reveling in still being able to do so. "we're still making records, we still tour every year"...
thoughts?
