I gotcha covered - IMO Starlake is the best venue going. For the life of me, I cannot see the attraction to GW.
I've been to Star Lake 4 times, it's one of my favorite venues. I wish I could make it back this year but the timing just didn't work.

I'm ruling out Vegas just because it's an indoor venue. It's like baseball on Astroturf, it just ain't right.

exactly, Chip.
I can't stand the MGM Grand Arena, but the pre-party that USED to happen in the pool area/backyard of the hotel was EPIC :P :pirate: :wench:

Naturally, I have to chime in with SAN DIEGO/Irvine (whichever stop he picks that year) 8)
We've been a sold-out venue for Jimmy for over 25 years, and he even put us in a song! :D

Let us take a minute to remember Buckeye Lake (RIP). No disprect to anyone else, but that was by far and away the best place to see Buffett. AFter that, I would have to say Starlake, Cincy, Nissan. Of course that is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Orlando's an indoor venue too, but I put it on my list anyway because I've been there 3 times and it's a really good tailgate. Especially when the King Of The Frozen Drinks, z-man, is there.

Great Woods
Irvine
Alpine

Of the other places I have seen shows, Chicago, Jones Beach, Tampa, Vegas, Hartford, Boston (Fenway and Garden), Foxboro, NY and I am missing a couple more.... none of them are good enough to be #4.

I fail to understand why The Gorge at George isn't among anyones lists.

It's one of the most beautiful settings you would ever want to see.
Plus there's a campground directly across the road from it that allows you a better tailgate experience then you would ever imagine.

Red Rocks occurred to me, only based on what I've heard, and not on experience. But I'm thinking this isn't a best ever thread, rather a top 4 of still regular stops.

I've never been, but should Tampa be considered?

It's nothing out of the ordinary, but nice. You'd think a list like this would have a Florida venue, or at least a warm weather one.

Depends on how you measure for this question. From the tour listings found on this site:

Top Cities
1. Cincinnati, OH 47
2. Mansfield, MA 45
3. Columbia, MD 44
4. Atlanta, GA 42
5. New York, NY 34
6. Irvine, CA 29
7. Charlotte, NC 26
8. Noblesville, IN 24
9. Raleigh, NC 24
10. Burgettstown, PA 24
11. Denver, CO 24
12. Clarkston, MI 23
13. New Orleans, LA 22
14. Houston, TX 22
15. San Diego, CA 21
16. Tinley Park, IL 21
17. Los Angeles, CA 21
18. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 21
19. Las Vegas, NV 21
20. Nashville, TN 20

The top four have had at least 10 more shows than number 5.

And I've never been, but the warm weather location could be the Waikiki Beach Shell. 8)

That one I have been to, happily! It is a splending setting for a Buffett show, but again, it's not every year.

Not much of a tailgate either since you have to go someplace offsite. No tailgating in the parking lot.
