Just an FYI......Columbia MD is Merriweather Post......which he hasn't played since 2003 (whether it was too small or tailgating was squashed or both) .......he started playing Nissan (about an hour from Columbia) in 1995 to present......a total of 18 times. I doubt he would ever return to MP.

Easy Irvine. Where he has recorded live and the tailgating is legendary. Sadly tho. Irvine is closing and giving waay to the bulldozer. So in its loss I would vote Vegas

1) First-time poster, long-time reader here, longer-time Parrothead.

2) Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I was reading around to see what cities seem to love Jimmy the most and stumbled across this!

3) This is a really interesting question, and I'm interested to see if people's opinions have changed over the last several years. I think you start with these very obvious three (it blows my mind how they're not on everyone's list):

• Cincinnati
- Where "Parrothead" was coined
- Part of Feeding Frenzy live album
- 2003 live album
- #2 in all-time concerts played
- 40-something sellouts in a row??
• Atlanta
- First Parrothead club in the nation
- Part of Feeding Frenzy live album
- Jimmy's first live album
- #3 in all-time concerts played
• Mansfield, MA (Great Woods)
- #1 in all-time concerts played
- Appears multiple times on live albums like Tu-Th-Sat, Encores, etc.
- 2003 live album
- Always referenced as one of the wildest shows

After that, it depends what you're valuing. You might include Irvine to get a West Coast one, Wantagh because of the venue and # times played, West Palm Beach as the "home stop," etc. Personally, I might pick Alpine because of the sheer crowd size and awesome tailgating.

Long time Alpine attendee...20 or more shows. Obviously not going there this year and we can't stand FIBS so a group of us are heading to Cincy. It'll be an interesting comparison and we're very much looking forward to visiting the birthplace.
