Any suggestions/advice appreciated. Parrotheads know everbody and everything so I figured it was worth a shot . . .
We have fallen in love with Max, a 10 month old Brittany Spaniel. We were just approved late Friday night to adopt him.
Problem is, he is located in Cincinnati and we are in Savannah, GA. I am trying everything to find a partial transport.
Commercial airlines are out due to 85 degree embargo. Just trying to explore volunteer transport services whether it be by private plane or car. If anyone has used one, please let me know.
HELP!! We want to get our boy

they're usually eager to help anyone that takes a rescue...
I do have a good friend that is very involved in rescue, let me know if you want me to see what she suggests...
I have been looking/posting all day . . . it's amazing how many good pholks are out there just driving their hearts out to transport animals.
That would be great . . . it has seemed meant to be until today . . . patience and faith and some effort on my part has made me feel better and productive

I have no doubt it will happen. Most organizations that work with therapy dogs are glad to help, too.

They have a network and a forum...I'm thinking that there are probably several people there that might be able to help you out and steer you in the right direction. It's certainly worth a shot, especially since members are nationwide.
A very tough decision was made this morning . . . sparing all of you the detail . . . fur baby needs to stay in Ohio. He has a lot of applications on him and I know he will find a forever home there.
I learned a lot about transport groups and their amazing efforts; I might help out some after seeing what they do for all animals!
