The number, that is.
It's a family 'thing' I always got corrected for. "Oh" is a letter, "zero" is the number. Heard a discussion on a radio station on the way home today.

I try very hard to say "zero" when referring to the number, but am not always successful.

Yup, I"m like Jack and BC. I try hard to say zero, but sometimes "oh" just flows better.
Besides....it was good enough for Tommy Tutone...

I know - So does Maine's area code - 2 oh 7.
oh-6-oh-6-2 originally zip code
2-oh-3 original area code
but when i was giving out my old phone number, id say 3-0-5 for the area code. go figure.
(and don't ask me about my current phone #. had it two weeks, still don't know it.
)

When I get lucky I say "double down!!"
You know, I meant that as a gambling joke, but I guess you can read other things into it....

If this is the three of a kind you're talking about:
I'll settle for two pair.

Jack.....that picture freaked me the hell out!
As for the question.....I use both. When at work I say "zero" since I work with Social Security Numbers and different kinds of PIN#'s
I always thought it was funny how it was pronounced Beverly Hill 9-oh-2-1-oh!
