I don't get the choice, either. :-? He's got some good stats, but some crappy ones that have lost us games.

I believe that many in San Diego feel Rivers was snubbed for the Pro Bowl

As said earlier, that would probably be because of when the voting takes place.

Boy you lot are genius - one of a kind.

Everyone is.

Wow - had no idea Craig Morton played for the Cowgirlies. I always thought he was just with Denver. Had his best season in Denver.

So, I heard that in two years the Pro Bowl is going to be moved to the week before the Super Bowl. The idea is to generate more interest in the Pro Bowl, and probably take some attention off the teams playing in the Super Bowl.

This sounds like a bad idea to me. Teams that go to the Super Bowl usually have several members elected to the Pro Bowl. If the team is going to the Super Bowl, I'm sure they are not going to be playing in Pro Bowl. So the game becomes a game with a bunch of really good players and some okay players. Of course, players drop out every year due to injury so this not be such an issue.

On the players NFL "resume", does that still count as being selected to the Pro Bowl? When Hall of Fame voting comes around, I would think they take into account how many Pro Bowls a player has been to. It may not be a huge factor but might be one of those that pushes a player over the edge.

IMO, you can play the Pro Bowl whenever you want because it is a meaningless game. MLB plays for home field advantage and the NBA and NHL seem like they can showcase players individual talents. I don't get that feel from NFL.

I saw, I think on ESPN, that the Pro Bowl will be played in Miami the week before the Super Bowl in 2010.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Change is good. Don't how I feel about that. I guess it was going to happen sooner or later. Why not after one of the biggest meltdowns in sports??

Being a huge Broncos fan in Chicago, after Sunday I truely felt what it was like to be a lifetime Cubs fan!

I had heard rumors that he should have been fired and he went too long based on winning two Super Bowls in a row back in the 1990's.

The MLB All Star game winner getting playoff home field advantage - that's just stupid. Why bother finishing first then if your conference lost the All Star game? MLB should change the name of the playoffs too - only North American teams are in, no other teams from the world are in it.

Perhaps we will be welcoming this guy to Our Mile High City a lot sooner than later????

Although I've lived in Colorado for almost 20 years and am still an Air Force Brat Raised Dolphins Fan from bouncing all over
the country, I am happy with the move of getting rid of Shanahan. It was his time to go.

Having 17 scrub running backs in a rotation and a revolving door of Defensive Coordinators over the years, those are just two reasons I'm glad to see Shanahan gone.

Given his best buddy (on the surface without knowing the behind the scenes) relationship with Pat Bowlen, shock could be somewhat felt in Denver here given the fact that Pat said, "Shanny can stay as long as he wants!!"

Apparently NOT.

I'll put three cents on Coach Bill coming here to be the newest Denver Resident.

We'll see what happens.

From what I hear, Kowher (sp???) is interested in the Jets position.

Cowher won't be in Denver....unless Bowlen is willing to give up say in personnel matters...he's looking for the same deal Belechick has in New England. The Jets are willing to explore this option, and that is why they are continuing to talk. With his family on the East Coast, and a daughter heading to school in NYC, I'm betting he'll either coach the Jets, or continue his talking head gig.
