Fox Sports is reporting a 4-year deal: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9102 ... l?MSNHPHMA

I wish Rex well, but it still bothers me that he was interviewing while his team was in the playoffs. I know that everyone must do what's "best" for them and he most certainly does deserve a head coaching position......but it still p*** me off. :o

The unraveling of the Raven coaching staff has begun......

Green Bay has apparently added Dom Capers as their defensive coordinator:

Capers had been rumored in the Baltimore press as a possible replacement for Ryan....... :o

I thought teams weren't allowed to interview coaches who were "still in it."

Yeah, I asked that same question last week and aeroparrot said he thought that such interviews could take place "with the team's permission". Sorry, if I'm the owner of the coach's current team, you're not talking to anybody until it's over........ :o

Here's wishing your Steelers well in the Super Bowl....... :pirate:

They can do the interviews on the teams "off" days but cannot agree to or sign a contract until their teams' season is over -that is why I said to my husband yesterday right after the Ravens lost that the Jets will sign Rex Ryan on Monday!!

That is what I said. The reason why I bring this up is I know that when the Patriots won their last Super Bowl I know that Romeo Crenell (sp??) and Weiss (sp??) had jobs at the Browns and at Notre Dame respectively.

Some great news.....

Ravens RB Willis McGahee is out of the hospital in Pittsburgh and heading home to Baltimore.

A complete recovery from that hit he took in last night's AFC Championship is expected: http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/01/19/ravens- ... -recovery/

That's good. I have told people, that hit he took was nasty but very legal and nothing should happen to the Steelers player who hit him.

I hope this rumour is true.

Stranger things have happened in the wacky world of the NFL....... :o :D :pirate:

Ravens need to determine which two of the three starting LBs facing free agency (Lewis, Bart Scott, or Tyrell Suggs) they can keep.....I figure they sign one and place a franchise tag on another. In addition, they need to keep one of the best young centers in the AFC, Jason Brown, who is eligible for FA, too. Could be interesting.......

Never say never.......Dallas is reportedly offering some huge bucks for Mr. Lewis' services:

Word around the NFL is that the Dallas Cowboys are very interested in obtaining Ravens inside linebacker Ray Lewis if he becomes a free agent. The speculation is that the Cowboys are willing to give Lewis a three-year deal worth between $27 and $30 million, with $25 million guaranteed.

Don't think that the Ravens can match that due to the salary cap......and I honestly don't think they should, if they could. That money must be used elsewhere on this team......

In addition to Dallas, Raven LB Ray Lewis may have another employment option for next season:

Yesterday the buzz was that the Cowboys might go after Ray Lewis in free agency, but today the focus is closer to home. Would new NY Jets head coach Rex Ryan recruit Ray-Ray play there? After all, he did just spend 10 years coaching the guy.

I would say the going to the Jets would make more sense since Ryan is there now, if he decides to go.

Wooohooooo!! Great day to be a Chiefs fan. It seems to be pretty much split right down the middle on whether Shanahan is coming to KC or not. They're also talking about Cowher again. Either way I'm more than fine with!
