I saw a report somewhere, I think it was si.com but can't remember, where the reporter went to this one bar in Tampa that was a Steelers bar. It is run by two people who were originally from western PA. The reporter asked the owner what about the Bucs.... and he said yea? What about them?

was glad to hear that.....always enjoyed watching him play, and he and Neil Smith made the KC defense one of the best of the era.

He'll make it soon, Penny... he deserves it.

As for as Paul Tagliabue, gimme a break... EDIT UPDATE: I now see hid did NOT get in.... *Hallelujah*
No one did more to find inventive ways to take more taxpayer money to line owner's pockets,
and poor player behavior and drug use reached its' zenith in his time.
We (San Diego) hosted two incredibly popular and profitable Super Bowls in last 10 years (and it's 75º and sunny here today, btw),
and he says, "When you build a new stadium, we'll come back"

We see him as a one helluva GDMFCS :x :x :x

Rod Woodson got into the Hall, congrats to him. Dermontti Dawson did not, but his time will come. He was among, if not the best center in the game during his 12 years in the league.

Bob Hayes was ready for this...

TAMPA, Fla. (Reuters) – Bob Hayes, known as “The World’s Fastest Human” after winning 100 meters gold at the 1964 Olympics, gave thanks on Saturday for being elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame despite having passed away in 2002.

Lucille Hester, the sister of the Dallas Cowboys receiver, read to the Hall of Fame news conference a 1999 letter from “Bullet Bob” Hayes written to her three years before he died at 59 from kidney failure after a long illness.

Hayes, who also played one season with the San Francisco 49ers, held 16 Cowboys’ records when he left Dallas in 1974.

“You know I am not sure I am going to be around if I will get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame so you must read this for me…,” the letter said.

“I would like to thank everyone who supported me to get into the NFL Hall of Fame, the Dallas Cowboys organization, all of my team mates and everyone who played for the Cowboys (thank the San Francisco 49ers too).

“Thank the fans all around the country and the world, thank the committee who voted for me and also the ones who (maybe) did not vote for me. Thank Mother and my family, thank (quarterback) Roger Staubach and tell all my team mates I love them.

“Thank the Pro Football Hall of Fame, all the NFL teams and players, Florida A & M University, thank everyone who went to Matthew Gilbert High School, then everyone in Jacksonville and Florida…

“Thank everyone in the city of Dallas and in Texas and just thank everyone in the whole world.

“I love you all.”

I don't watch pro ball anymore, but back in his day w/the Cowboys, I don't recall anyone who made running the ball more exciting than Bob Hays, at least for me.

that was a phenomenal Cowboy team.

As of now, the Steelers have a new Super Bowl record for a 100 yard interception return. That is the longest play in Super Bowl history.

I think that is also the longest interception in Super Bowl history too.

Now I predicted a Steelers win but that roughing the passer penalty against Arizona was a bogus call. That was not roughing the passer.

I agree.....and that 100 yd interception...there was a clip that wasn't called on about the 30-50 yd line. It's sad that the refs are impacting the game :(

And the roughing the kicker call when the holder was taken out by accident. That was not roughing the kicker.

Referee calls impact every game, not just big games. It's a matter of how teams overcome them.

I usually respect your posts, but that's the most foolish thing you've ever posted. Clearly a penalty, but it didn't really matter since we ended up with only the three anyway.

Also, no one has mentioned it, but you can see on Fits first TD, the ball touches the ground.
