We're in for the Saturday night as well as Friday. Hope they do not run out of beer this time. Perhaps Jimmy can get some Landshark over to Paris!! Do you think that perhaps he will video both shows and make a DVD this time with the best bits out of both shows - similar to Fenway?

They can't bring LandShark to Paris...too many regulations...didn't have it in Hong Kong either...
He brought it on his plane in Anguilla but the islands are a different story.

One reason to go to Paris, real beer.

More like real wine, Larry. They're not real beer drinkers there.

Larry - there is good beer to be had in France. Its just a little more difficult to find than the fizzy stuff......
Now if he were playing in England

Hey
Can someone please help me out with a hotel reccomendation in Paris?? I finally have my airfare, my tickets to the shows, but now need a place to stay. Been doing plenty of research online, but thought since many of you have been to Paris before you might have some reccomendations.
Thanks

I meant no Landshark, that isn't real beer.

don't know what you are looking for price-wise or style-wise, but I like St. Louis Marais in the Marais neighborhood. Check out Rick Steve's Paris guide book, or France Guide book, he has good hotel suggestions for middle-of-the-road type folks. He won't list anything too fancy pants, likes things with character, and generally has all offers up good guidance.
Look on Trip Advisor for my review and a few photos, also posted under OttoCal.

I'll be at the 9/19 show

The 9/20 appeared to be sold out. If, however, I can procure a ticket to the 9/20, I am definitely there as well.
Here's the real question, though: how does one tailgate in Paris? I refuse to believe that a Buffett concert can exist without a full day of school busses with fins, frozen concoctions in the hot sun, etc. Has anyone been to a foreign concert before? how does it work?

Keep trying for tickets, same thing happened to me, it said Sold Out for Saturday, and then I tried 30 mins later and there were tickets available.

Well, Anguilla was easy because it was as you described (but hotter!)
Paris is easy too - lunch in a little roadside restaurant (no "chicken died in vain" jokes please..), couple of bottles of wine, bar crawl your way to the venue (or find one nearby full of PHs, like Wrigley Labor Day) stand in line with a couple of hundred like-minded folk outside New Morning for an hour or two before the show, getting refills from the bar across the street - then its showtime!

Sounds familar!! Its funny to tailgate with wine, isn't it?! But very appropriate I might add!
