You'd probably like Landshark, it isn't beer.

I stopped drinking beer the day I turned 21!

In the decade(s) since, I have drunk mainly rum (along with a fair amount of tequila, the occasional bourbon, sometimes some whiskey, an infrequent scotch, a bit of vodka here and there)...

I like Landshark just fine, especially with a lime wedge.

Anyone notice that with prices so expensive, restaurants/bars have replaced lime/lemon wedges with thinly shaved pieces of lime or lemon.

Anyway, for tailgates I usually show up with Red Stripe. Much less work than having to worry about having limes or lemons around and it goes down like water. NEVER mixed drinks at a tailgate - way too easy to get
drunk.

Shows are best done with a nice, healthy, several beer buzz. Drunk = being too out of it to focus on the show once Jimmy takes the stage. :P

I bought the Landshark. It reminded me to much of Bud....it was not bad, did not love it like I thought I would.

During the summer, it's either Rolling Rock or a Gin Martini straight up with a twist of lemon in it. With either "Live From Wrigley Field", "Meet Me in Margitaville" or "Live At the Roxy" By Bob Marley and The Wailers....

Landshark

Post by bucknutdet »

I actually had my first one yesterday, or the day before, whatever... I was holding out b/c I didn't want to give Jimmy any more of my money, but I digress... I actually really liked it and I was doubting I would. I like my Landshark naked, right out of the bottle... I guess most things are better naked...

Make fun of it all you want folks. They cant keep it on the shelves up here in Ohio. I had a woman at a drive through beverage store ask me what it tasted like and I said it was like Carona but better. She said that people have been buying it like crazy.

If you enjoy simple, unsophisticated beers similar in taste of Miller High Life then you will like Landshark. I, personally, love all kinds of beer from super hoppy brews to stouts to the myriad micro brews avaialable but I'm not one to hang my hat on one particular brand/label. What beer I choose to enjoy on any a particular day depends on many factors such as time of year, activity I'm doing (if any!), type of food I may be eating with it, etc.. If I were to have tried Landshark for the first time, say, after a full day of skiing while sitting down to hearty bone-warming meal I may agree with several other posts and say you may want to pass on Landshark Lager. However, I tried an icy cold one for the first time about 2 weeks ago (it's took a long time getting to our distributers shelves here in northern NJ) on one of those famously hot/humid NJ late afternoons and I was pleasantly surprised - it was extremely refreshing and tasty. That's what I'm looking for on those ridiculously hot days. I haven't tried it with a lemon or lime nor would I as i don't think it would enhance the flavor. I did go very well with the chips, salsa and grilled sausage we were eating though! Just my $.02
Brother Jimmy I have heard the call...where do I send my money?

At Margaritaville they have loaded Landsharks, which is to say that they fill the neck with Lime Tequilla. Thats my favorite way to drink them if I want to get stupid, but if I'm just hanging out at home or a parking lot somewhere, I like it with a slice of lime.
So bless me father, yes I have sinned.

You made me think of a new cover song for Bubba to sing!

How about Titties and Beer? I think it was Frank Zappa that did it first, but I could be wrong.

Corona, Landshark, Simpatico all taste good to me in hot weather. I hate Bud light, Miller light, Coors light etc. I drink beer according to mood, season, location and taste. Some of my favorite summer brews are Sam Adams Summer Ale (great stock this year!) Red Stripe, Coronal Lite, Blue Moon, Sam Adams lite,. For mainstream beers I can tolerate Coors. My favorite is Guiness but I don't drink a whole lot in the summer. Also Fosters, Amstel, and Killians are more cool weather favorites. Can you tell I like beer?
