Marry the love of my life (we have met, just time and space now to take care of)

Go to Africa on Safari (CHECK, East Africa, Tanzania), photo-safari

Go to Cape Town, South Africa and go up to Table Mountain

I have a home (all paid for) that sits high on the hill with a barn in the back and a place where all of my friends come to enjoy themselves

Travel to Croatia, Dalamatia Coast, Split and Reem...my greatgrandparents are from there, of course stay a while

Travel through Europe, to include Ireland and Norway

Travel to the land of Oz and New Zealand

Experience both Mardi Gras in NOLA and Carnivale in RIO

Have a fund for unwanted pets/animals (because really really dumb people get pets and then cannot take care of them)

Travel on every mode of transportation (CHECK: car, bike/Segway, motorcycle, horseback, elephant, train, plane/helicopter, sailboat/cruise liner/paddleboat)

Hmm interesting ...
I kinda just do things I want to do - cause you never know when your number is up - so I have pretty much done all that I want to up to this point in my life ...

however a few more would be

1. Get a promotion to EL1 (exec) at work
2. Watch the Knights get another premiership trophy
3. See my nieces and nephews grow to adulthood and get good lives/careers and be happy
4. Retire from work so I can get my million or so bucks I am due from retirement fund 8)

Think that is about it - I dont need much! Cause when number 4 happens - I can do anything I want

I have not been on Camel-back (NO nothing like the toe, and I am stopping you all there), two seater plane - smallest was 12 passenger, Hot Air Balloon, Dog-Sled, Snow-Mobile and __?__

 No offense but are you rich? You would need a mighty big sail boat and crew.
Not really, I have plenty of books that have people doing it in fairly small (25'-35') sailboats. Not really a problem.....depending on the weather. Small boats actually have a better chance in some respects. Not as likely to get caught between waves & break her back.
A few on my friends from the Coast Guard did it. It is only recognized (if that matters to you) if you do it during a certain "Season" (not sure when, although my friends did it in September) where the chop is at its worst and the wind is a such a significant factor that a little boat (under 50') would not suffice . . . unless you are one of the drunken crazies who survives such things where others wouldn't . . . Good luck either way. You are more man then I am. Couldn't pay me to do it. I like my Nantucket Sound lifestyle. Yes, I am NOT a Pirate.

Hmmmm....safari wise?

Elephant (the Capstick way-close up & personal)
Lion
Cape Buffalo
Leopard
A bunch of different antelope breeds

Actually, all of the above in the Capstick manner: get up close to them...give them a sporting chance of killing me as well.

A couple of additions:

11-write a book

12- Own my own bike shop
Will

first of all to me the movie was just average and forgettable. I expected much better from the two big actors.

a few off the top of my head:
get some six pack abs
sky dive
see the Grand Canyon
see Montana
the Alamo
Little Big Horn
the monuments in D.C.

and don't even get me started on the kinky ones....

hmmm, this is tough...

most of mine would involve traveling....

except, see my son be successful, and happy doing something that he loves, and knowing that when I am gone, he will be ok.

see the rest of Ireland, and stay in castles in Scotland

Go to Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Berlin..... etc (we are planning on doing this for our 15 year anniversary)

South America..... Brazil, go see Iguasu Falls, tour the Amazon Rainforest.

Go to China, Greece, and Egypt, and spend at least a month in Australia.

learn to scuba dive. Tried it before, but I need better teachers I think..

hot air balloon ride

write my book

I better live a long time and make a lot of $$$!!!

Funny how almost everyone's list involves travel. There so many employment oppurtunities that you all could just go now. Unless health is an issue, heaven forbid, the sooner the better. Get the boat and sail it down island way or do the Europe - China run. Bring the family. These can be more than a 7 - 14 day trip. I joined the military to travel. I am 31 now and have been all over the world and lived in places long enough to experience them beyond the jet lagged rushed tourist thing. (Most of you, I am guessing, would not like the Carribean . . . it is better in songs and pictures . . . and resorts.). Personally, I love the poor village areas. That is where the best chicken and pot can be found.

That's a great thought, I've always known I'm way too responsible for my own good! :-? However I have an aging parent that I need to factor into whatever I do. I'm much better than I used to be though so I guess that's something.

word. I didn't see the movie. But it really does strike me as odd that people wait until they are about to die to do the things they wanted to do when healthy. How sad; in my opinion. Got to get out there and live. You have an excuse and I find it moving that you choose to take care of a family member. But there are so many people who just don't act and then they wake up one day and it is too late.

Fun to hear everyone's answers! Funny how some people's desires strike a chord with me and some, I've already done, yet others I have no desire to do. Just further exemplifies how diverse we all are.
As for me, I hardly ever have a quiet moment in my life to think of such things. Maybe if I can get the kids outside this afternoon, I'll dig deeper into my brain. In the meantime, I'm enjoying this thread. Carry on!!!

Yeah, bottom line is you need to be happy with where you ARE - looking forward to fulfilling those dreams is great but not if you're thinking "THEN I'll be happy!" Gotta love the now.

Yep..There's a book by Spencer Johnson I have, and have probably given away over 100 copies as gifts...."The Precious Present"...and it is what Life is really about...

But making a "What If" list is kinda fun.....(if I had unlimited funds... I can't even type that with a straight face... )
