In the August 2001 issue of Playboy, in the monthly column titled "men" by Asa Baber (page 39), there is a discussion on the never-ending debate regarding men traditionally making more than women in the working world. Baber closes the article by saying, "The vast majority of men are not fat cats with golden bats. We get laid off. We lose money. Life is not a tire swing, no matter what Jimmy Buffett says." That's a pretty obscure song reference for the general public. And, by the way, this proves that we really do buy it just for the articles!
