If Vegemite is the brand name, what is the actual name for the stuff?
Like Coke is cola, Vegemite is ______? Nasty?

"Vegemite is made from leftover brewers' yeast extract, a by-product of
beer manufacturing, and various vegetable and spice additives. The taste may be described as salty, slightly bitter, and malty - somewhat similar to the taste of beef bouillon. "

"What is vegemite made of?" was my $64000 question on "Who wants to
be a Millionaire". I called a lifeline and she gave me the wrong answer
but I guessed it was brewers yeast because I knew it couldn't be tofu,
goose liver, or wheat germ. Afterwords, people gave me some Marimite
and some Vegemite and, I'm sorry, but it just tastes like road tar.
I'll stick with peanut butter and apple butter on my bread.
