I'm STILL predicting this year's big ten champion will be the school in Madison, WI, formerly coached by Barry Alvarez.

They didn't look great @ Fresno State, but that's always a tough place to play. I just don't trust a team with a left-handed quarterback. Even Tebow scares me when he starts chucking it around.

Fresno State is a better team than people give them credit for.
With an offensive line like they have, I could look like an all-star quarterback. (Not to take anyting away from theirs).

But yes, I think Wisconsin will win against their rivals in the Big 10.
This SHOULD be a kick-a$$ year for Iowa, since they don't play Ohio State OR Michigan, but Northwestern, Penn State, and Illinois (and possibly Michigan State) will not be easy games at all for the Hawks.
They'll do no better than 4-4 in conference play, which, if that's the case, with their three victories against lesser schools (well, TWO schools plus Iowa State), would qualify them for a bowl game.

I'll hold out out for Wisconsin...but Penn State is racking up big numbers. We'll see how they do in conference play.
According to Bob Roberts.. the SEC will win the Big Ten..

The winner of the Big 10 could not finish in the top 6 of the SEC.

Especially with the level of play that gives you 3-2 finals in a football game.

Awwww ((((Flock))))) :(

If it's any consolation, the folks I listened to on espn on the drive down today said that you'll win the rest of your games and your conference and be in a BCS bowl...

Gearing up for our trip South to see the LSU Tigers visit the Tigers/War Eagles/Plainsmen of Auburn!! Will be flying into Atlanta Friday Night.

Theoretically COULD watch the Georgia Tech/Mississippi State game in ATL Sat. @ noon, then scoot over to Auburn for the Sat. Night game....but that would mean missing all that tailgating in Auburn...and what kind of lame brain would do that??? :o

if anyone cares, Among the interesting games this weekend could be in the ACC with Wake Forest @ Florida State & Va Tech @ North Carolina. Wake trying to beat FSU for a THIRD STRAIGHT TIME!! :o Carolina trying to become a player in the ACC for the first time in a lonnnng time.

Oregon hosting Boise State is another one that will be interesting. Ducks got all they could handle from Purdue last week & lost their 2nd QB of the season....Boise trying to get into the BCS mix with a win at Eugene.

Vols/Gators......The Vols HAVE TO have this one. With roadies to Auburn, Georgia and South Carolina later in the year this is a must win!! Gators weren't overly impressive against the Canes but seem to find a way to get by the Vols. I'm calling for this game to go down to the wire with a late score or turnover being the difference.

Have a great time, I wished I was going to be in town to have a few cold ones with you Friday night but we are heading to Hilton Head for a break while the Dawgs go out west. The LSU/Auburn game I believe will be the game that will decide the SEC West Champion.
Enjoy the tailgating but make sure you get into the stadium in time to see the flight of the eagle it is a cool experience.

Yeah, that would have been cool. It's always great to have a few cold ones with phriends! :pirate:

So I've been told. I was also told that if ESPN has the sky cam in place they probably won't let the Eagle loose so I don't know if there's anyway to find that out pregame. :-?

The Dawg/Sun Devil game should be interesting as well but Carpenter & Company tends to choke it off in the big ones....nonetheless, definite test for the Dawgs to get back "up" for another big game!

Big game for UGA..first game outside of SEC country for a non conference game in.....43 YEARS! In last 5 years, Ga. has not played a game north of Kentucky or west of Louisiana, including bowls. This should help the Ath. Department's frequent flyer miles program.
